The ends of the straps are attached by these metal pieces, one of which is an open metal oval, so the strap can swivel. The oval on one side was too big, so the strap wouldn't stay on the bag. At least my husband was able to use pliers and squeeze the oval tighter. Now the metal is bent a little funny, but no one will probably notice. Anyway, it's better than having it be broken! But I really love this bag and am so glad I got it. It's the perfect size for my needs. It's so cute, I just want to cuddle it. Oh, other reviewers mentioned they had to attach the strap, but mine came attached. Maybe someone had returned it, since it was defective? 5.16.2013

Rated 4 out of 5Â by planetqueen cute bag The size of this bag is in between a small cross-body bag and a full size bag. It will hold my wallet, cell phone, sunglasses, keys and a bit of makeup, but not everything I usually carry. I love the exterior pockets and distressed fabric, and the strap is adjustable so it can be worn as a cross-body, but isn't too long as a shoulder bag on a petite person like me. I wasn't particularly fond of the drawstring opening, The strings hang down pretty far with it's drawn closed, and are bulky to tie. I think it looks better with the ties tucked inside. I'd much prefer a snap or zip closure. It's also difficult to attach the straps, but it looks fine once you do. Although I liked it, I ended up returning it because it's too small for an everyday bag, but too large to be a comfortable cross-body for outdoor events, when I only need to carry a few items. I was also concerned that items would fall out with the drawstring closure. If it goes on sale, I would consider getting it. 4.10.2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ellcie cute but STIFF! the top where the draw string is, is so stiff I can't pull it closed.....it might loosen up??? either way, it's so cute, i'll put up with it. perfect summer bag. the strap did not come attached and was pretty tricky getting it on -cause of stiffness of the straps that you need to put the hooks in. my husband wrestled it for me and got it. size and colour just as pictured. 4.9.2013
