This gorgeous woven bag is handmade in Colombia by local tribes. Bag has diagonal striped design throughout.
Zikawa-It means 'give' in Chibcha, the mother language of the different indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta. Two of the communities we get mochilas from, the Arhuaco and Kankuamo peoples, live in the Sierra Nevada and speak dialects derived from Chibcha.
A third of the profits go to different community-based initiatives aimed at children and at supporting woman artisans from indigenous communities in South America.

"these bags are absolutely gorgeous and uber-fashionable but really a timeless piece since its a piece of native artwork. My only objection is the percentage being given back to the natives. After all, $330 is a steep price for these bags and more money should be given back to these amazingly talented craftspeople."

"I love this mochilas! I saw people wearing them in my trip to Colombia and I just fell in love, they looked soo nice! I wanted one so badly!! I'm so happy FP got them! I'm running to get one! They are so fashionable! the best thing is that they are natural 100% handmade from tribes in Colombia...just beautiful!"
