Rated 2 out of 5Â by KateRose Not as pictured Received the hat today and the quality is okay, it's real leather and holds shape. However I'm disappointed to say it's not as pictured or described. The color is listed as "black", and the photos make it appear like it's more of a worn black with hints of brown. Nope. This hat is completely solid black. The suede underside is black, the braided rope is black, the stitching is black, there isn't a speck of brown. There's also nothing "distressed" about it. The leather is in pristine condition with a matte finish which makes everything just blend together visually, you don't even notice the rope when it's on someone's head. Obviously the photos are not of the same hat, after poking around online I see the hat comes in different colors, so the photos must be of a dark brown version. Which to me it's misleading to have photos of a different color than what is being sold. But with the previous review- maybe they have a collection of brown and black hats and are sending them out randomly, and I was unlucky. Will be returning because it's nothing like the photos and what I wanted, unless I could exchange it for the color pictured instead. I really do want this hat!! 5.28.2013

Rated 5 out of 5Â by BETSEY crushable hat The hat is a rich brown color , very well made I am normally a large size hat and there was quite a bit of room left but not too much as to where it will be sloppy looking , however a strong wind might blow it off so I rekomend tying a string to it. THe top of the hat is crushable as stated and bounces back beautifully and I think this hat will hold up for years. 5.27.2013
