Hi I am a Free Spirit Bohemian that loves Fashion, Art, flowers, vintage, chocolate, the moon, owls, 60's n 70's, traveling, hippies, long and messy hair, sweets, the beach, music lover, avid reader, antiques collector, dog lover and optimist... A creative dreamer at heart my mind is always spellbound on the latest FP fashion..
For me the essential is to never forget your own style and mix it up with the latest trends to create a look that will be unique. When I came across this fringe vest my heart and mind was deadlocked on it.
Now that festival season is upon us, Iâm stocking up on fun fringe accessories. The key to wearing fringe is to find the balance between too much and just enough.
I have been admiring for quite some time the Americana Suede Fringe Vest By Spell.. Very extra ordinary find. Born to be wild is what this beautifully hand crafted patchwork suede tassel vest is all about! The bright-red suede tassels are so long, flowing, and the vest is made in a 'very fitted design' so its super flattering.
This is the ultimate festival/ road trip piece - I have a vision of this vest being paired with vintage denim and being worn at music festivals around the globe. It's total Janis Joplin meets Jimi Hendrix - and it is a sure piece to not be found other women wearing. I feel it is a fun choice. Love the softness and top quality of the leather which is 100% soft suede. Great layering piece..I especially love the boldness and the star and stripe appliqué and extra long fringe by Spell and the Gypsy Collection.. The one I got looks just as it appears in the photos. It is more bright red then crimson red or burgundy. I would call it a true red. Not muted down at all. The color of the blue is more navy blue and more cream/ivory then white. It definitely does not cover the chest like must vests. Its barely goes past my side. You can tell from the models photos. I am a 38C bust, wear small in leggings and jeans 27/28. The length was longer on me which I expected since being only 5'1. Just mind this runs small and that it is not meant to cover the chest area. It barely covers your sides. If your large chested it will be snug. I think this would look better on a smaller build with small busts. Certainly did not stop me from ordering though. This is a keeper. It is handcrafted in Australia..A great buy at the sale price and great to wear for Memorial Day and Fourth of July festivals. I paired this up with a white tee shirt and navy/white striped GB On-Deck Casual Slip-On Flats. Plus it is mark down very low and a great buy if your the right size. I think if your small or medium it will be fine. But large or XL in chest I would skip over this. It literally hugs the side barely. 4 stars for not making it wider.
Enjoy your festival fringe, and remember less is more, unless youâre a rockstar, in which case, go for it! Channel your inner gypsy spirit and let this vest bring the wild and boldness out of you.

I've had my eye on this piece for a while (I love fringe!), but knowing I rarely wear bold primary colors I had a hard time deciding how I would wear it. For the sale price I finally decided to order it and give it a try! The suede leather is super light and soft, good quality, and hangs nicely. Luckily the colors are just a tad more muted than in the model photos - still bold, but the white is more of an off white/cream color and the red is a bit deeper as opposed to being as cherry red as it appears on my monitor. The way it is cut in the front is slightly awkward for anyone with a larger chest (like me). As seen in the photo it isn't cut to cover the chest like a normal vest - it's cut further out to the sides to hang as an accent piece. As a result, it does need to be adjusted to hang right for me or it just sort of hangs awkwardly to the sides. I feel like it will take a bit of adjusting throughout wear which might have deterred me at full price, but for the sale price I'll deal with it! I'm still having a slight bit of trouble figuring out how I'll wear it since it is a bit bold, but it's too unique to send back! Just to note - though it says one size, I would say that this is best for a smaller build - I find that "one size" pieces are often a bit big on me, but as a S this fit quite nicely (aside from the chest issue).
