This dress is great, if it's for you. I was thinking it was sort of deco, but it looks more Egyptian in person. While my perception of the beading went from antique to ikat upon arrival, the dress itself went from antique modern to just plain antique in person. The main reason for this is that its fabric is quite yellowed, like the pages of an old book. It's a really nice look, if you don't mind that coloration. I personally am too fair-skinned, and this fact made it go from a potential wedding dress to just a very expensive, albeit cool, dress that someone much taller than me could pull off very well. I am 5'2" and ordered it with the assumption I'd have to alter it by bringing it up at the waist, but even so there was too much fabric that would have been lost.
The quality was disappointing. It should come wrapped with more care. It was wrinkled and squashed into the usual packaging. When I unbundled and unzipped it to try on, a few of the beads fell off. Try it if you must, but if you are petite, or fair-skinned it is probably not for you. The measurements are basically true to size. I am a 26 and ordered a 2. I think anything smaller wouldn't have zipped at the waist. Everywhere else it was baggy though.

This is such a gorgeous design, but unfortunately the quality is not up to par, given the price.
The good news is that as long as you get the right fit around the waist, this dress could fit many different body types.
The bad news is the quality. The lining is a cheap polyester (read: so much static!!) that is a bright white, which makes it overly contrast (in a bad way) with the creamy ivory chiffon. The dress is also very long, which means lots of expensive alterations. I'm 5'5, and tried it on with 4" heels and still need at least 2-3 more inches off in order to be able to walk in it.
I ordered 2 different sizes to get the right one, and both had similar issues. A few beads had already fallen off when I opened the package and others looked like they would fall off any minute. There were dozens of little unfinished threads on the backside of the chiffon where the beads had been sewn on. It also looked as if the silk had not been protected on the shelf and looked a little shabby/rubbed raw in some places. Also, the beaded design on the top was not symmetrical, which gave it a weird look when I tried it on. I love that it's beautifully hand-beaded, and so I'm not expecting machine-like perfection, but I do definitely expect it to be symmetrical.
I was hoping to wear this dress to my wedding, but with these flaws, I won't be able to do so without very expensive alterations.
Gorgeous design from a great designer, but quality is just not good enough at this price.

I ordered this dress to wear in my upcoming outside spring wedding. I love it! It is a little more ivory color than the pictures show but oh, so, beautiful. My dress is currently being altered because it is really long. It must be hemmed at the waistband due to the beading at the bottom. Also, even though it is lined it is a little shear and if you are planning on wearing it outside during the day, you might want to get a half slip to go underneath it.
