I saw these on someone and complimented her on them - then when I saw them on FP, had to have, 'em, too. The product description is wrong - the material of the upper is NOT leather - it's close-weave canvas - - these are like high-top sneakers with a Doc Martin boot sole - great for summer! They run large - I usually wear an 8 1/2 and was glad that I ordered an 8 rather than a 9 (whole sizes only) - the 8 is actually a bit loose. The laces are not long enough to lace all the way up, but they are cute as shown in the photo - skipping the top two grommets - and I plan to get some pink laces at a skateboard shop to personalize. When I first received these, I was disappointed to find that the pattern on the top of the toe of one of the boots was mostly blue - no flowers... But I ordered a second pair, which was perfect, and sent the first pair back. Despite the notes above, I am really happy that I got these and will definitely have fun wearing them!

As soon as I saw these on Free People I knew I had to have them. I love them so much. They are very lovely. The color looks a bit darker in person I'd say, and the only problem I have with these shoes is that after a long day of wearing them it begins to hurt a bit right below the laces and I style them untied. Just something to think about, but I definitely am happy about this purchase. They're chunky of course, but I don't think anyone could expect otherwise from a pair of Doc Martens
