delicate and not versatile

"these are super cute when you first look at them. but when I tried them on, even though they fit they kept riding up and they seemed very delicate. there were about 3 in the store and 2 of them were ripped already without even being sold yet. they also aren't very practical as they are very see through and you have to wear them over something for them to work"

"these are sooooo fragile! and being that they have absolutely no give to them, it kind of grarantees a snag or rip somewhere in the back. also, these have to be worn over completely opaque leggings. theyre SO sheer. i have both the black and the lavender. the lavender is gorgeous, and makes the shorts look so unique. as for the black, theres better out there."

"These shorts are very cute. I ordered a size Small initiaially but they were HUGE on me so I went for the XS. Although they fit better and didn't fall down my waist, every time I would breathe the pins would come undone! And trust me, it wasn't because they were too tight because I had a lot of extra room. If maybe they were buttons instead of clip on pins they would stay better."

"I passed on these, but I could see the appeal at the sale price. They look interesting, they're not unflattering, they're cheap. I found the lace to be cheap, I didn't like the waist band not having any give. I thought that for sheer shorts, they were too short. Makes finding something solid to go underneath and not poke out difficult. Size: Id' get your usual size and one size up and see which fits better. For me, my usual size fit at my waist, but I needed to go up a size to wear the shorts as low as I prefer."

Versatile shorts

"Got these in the lavender color in XS (my usual size 5'2" 105lbs) and they fit perfect. The waist falls to just below my mid belly under my bellybutton, which is what I wanted. These are very versatile with any outfit. I've already worn them with black tights and boots and a blazer like how it's pictured, also with a cute dressy shirt and tights and platforms. I like that they're unlined so I can wear my fitted rompers underneath. Overall, really cute shorts for just $30!"

"I ordered my typical Free People size Small and these were absolutely falling off of me to the point of no return. I mock sized them down by pinning it to see what an xs would look like before I ordered it, and I still wasn't too impressed. The lace is just not wonderful and the lavender color doesn't help things much. I think the black may look better, but will still have the same sizing issue. Also, the back is certainly not as flattering as shown in the picture. It's much more baggy (partly becauseof the too large size, but even after I pinned it). Overall, these shorts are simply mediocre."

"I just received these in the mail today. I got them in the lavender color and I would say they are a bit darker than pictured but I like that you can see more purple. You do have to wear something under them since they are unlined. My pair are a little loose and that's because I convinced myself to size up when I didn't need to. Be advised there is no stretch provided in the waistband so if you are in between sizes you may want to size up. Also at 5'10" they're not too short and look great with leggins and a band tee. All in all great purchase."
