I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it on the website. I thought it would be perfect for a wedding I was going to, but when it arrived it was nothing like I thought it would be. I normally love Tigerlilly, but this dress did not match the picture nor the description. First of all, it wasn't chiffon. It didn't flow at all like the picture. The fabric feels more like a heavy rayon and the fit is extremely unflattering. Extremely short. I would classify it more as a tunic than a dress. On a positive note, the V in the front is extremely sexy! I wanted to love this dress, but had to return it!

After seeing the stock photo, I wanted to get this dress for a wedding. I thought I would go with my regular size (M), but since it wasn't available at any stores, I figured I would wait until a review was posted or one showed up. Fortunately, one was returned in a small and I tried it on as I wear a small in shirts. It fit like a shirt (I don't think I could have even called it a tunic). Obviously, I did not purchase it and looked back on the website. It is not made by Free People and I had to look up the sizing from the company. A large is a size 8-10. After trying on the small, i knew a medium would not work, so I ordered a large as soon as it was available. Besides the difference in sizing, this dress is so pretty. It did come wrinkled and is darker than pictured but it is the perfect length for a mini dress (and I have athletic legs). I love the ruffles and the clasp in the front (you can also wear it unclasped for a plunging V in the front). Overall, I am happy!
Rated 2 out of 5Â by Eclaire not as pictured
I ordered this dress in both the red and the blue to compare the two colors and the item that I received was very different than what is featured online. In the picture, the material looks silky, soft, flowy, breathable and wrinkle-free whereas the actual material is just the opposite. It was course, rough and VERY wrinkled. You would have to iron it after just trying it on or sitting down one time! As soon as I pulled it out of the bag, it was a wrinkled mess.
The blue color was not nearly as vibrant as is shown in the pic; it's more or a dull grey color and looks washed out. On a positive note, the red color is very vibrant and striking, but once again, the material is not as appealing as it looks online.
Overall, the dress is very short and runs small; if it came in x-small, it would probably be more like a shirt instead of a dress. The ruffles look looser and flowier in the pic and are actually shorter and not as in proportion to the length of the dress; they don't blend in as shown here; rather, they look choppy and awkward.
Overall, not at all what I expected nor what it is featured in the online pic. It's almost as though the model is wearing a different dress due to the striking contrast between the material in the actual dress versus how it looks pictured.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by Avita Great idea, but beware of the Brand Sizing!
Loved the idea, wanted to wear it to a wedding, but unfortunately, the sizing is off. First off the dress is a tad darker than pictured - just a bit. The fabric is heavier than expected, so it isn't quite as flowy as I hoped. The dress is very well constructed and has a nice design. However, I knew that since it is an independent brand, not Free People, the sizing might be different. Since I am a size 12, with a big bust, I double checked on the Tigerlily website and it lists a size L as a size US 8/10. I ordered it anyway, just in case they had changed the sizing for FP, or something, and unfortunately, it is just too short. I am used to some short dresses, and have a lot of FP dresses (love my Marla, Daisy Lace, and Peacemaker), but this just won't work.(I'm 5'5', fyi). returned :(
