i wanted to post a review/pic as im a body type i rarely see in the reviews here: 5'7, 185 pounds, sz 12. i bought this on a whim and i absolutely love it! the material is silky. only difference from the pic is that the sleeves are real long...wrist length on me. the attached slip is useless so i just cut it out.

On the surface the dress is really cute. It's flattering for my body type. I like that it's roomy and flowy. I think that the length is great.
My first issue is that the colors in the photo are not true to what you get. It looks more gold in the photo and the red parts of the pattern are actually hot pink. The black is really blue.
My second issue is the quality. The fabric is extremely thin. The slip that you get with it is worthless. You can still see straight through the slip, and the dress on top. Luckily I had an opaque one to substitute. You need to remember to be really careful while wearing the dress because of the fabric being so thin, it's going to be very easy to rip a seam. The pockets will not hold anything heavy because it'll pull and cause a hole eventually.
In the end, although I'm disappointed in the quality for the price, I kept the dress because I really liked the way it looks.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by Kangourou Nice but led astray by previous sizing reviews
I'm a curvy, hourglass-shaped girl (broad shoulders and hips), who wears everything from an 8 to 14 depending on the brand; and a 36DD bra.
Earlier busty girl/ broad shouldered girl reviews said the dress ran small and to get a size up or not buy at all. My experience was the diametric opposite. I got the large and I really could have done with a medium! It's *very* roomy. I like that, so will keep this size, but other girls be aware. I also didn't like the slip so will wear my own/pair it with shapewear instead. At 5'4", the large hits about half an inch above my knee. In sum, I haven't washed it but - somewhat unusually - I'm hoping it shrinks.
It should also be noted that the "white" parts at the base of the hem and the arms are not white, but a rather unpleasant yellow colour. Not even beige! It makes it look cheaper and less sophisticated than in the photos.
All that said, the cut of the dress unusual in terms of kaftan dresses in that it cuts in at the waist a bit and that really makes it much more flattering than the average. I also love that it has pockets.
A final note: if you have an event in mind and choose "express shipping," be aware that the fine print states they can take up to 48 hours to "process" the order and get it to the courier. And their call centre workers are ...unhelpful.

I saw this in store the other day and I really loved it. I pulled one in Medium and Large. First off the fabric is fair to average. Not the best material- quality wise I have seen from free people but also not the worst. I am a 38 D so very large busted with a small waist (27-28) this dress did not fit my chest at all in either size. The print was gorgeous but the execution was poor. This in pictures is made to look like a baby doll dress this was not the case on a curvy woman!

Loved this dress, went immediately to buy it when it came in locally. It's really nicely made, thick fabric, clear print, nice design and (surprisingly# not too short. However, I am curvy and it fit everywhere - except the bust. Normally FP works for me in that area, even though I'm fairly endowed up top, however, this wasn't even close. :# Not recommended for busty ladies if you're already a sz Large/12, otherwise size up. Totally bummed.

I got this dress in black, the pattern is a bit less accentuated than in the photos but it still looks amazing. I dont know if it was an isolated case but the slip that came along with my dress was a little too tight; however the dress itself fits perfectly. I'm 1,77m tall and it comes above the knee but not too short. The sleves are long enough as well. Im a 34D and dont have a problem with the bust either, it fits nicely. Even though its not a stand out dress i've been complimented every time i've worn it, definitely worth the buy!
Rated 1 out of 5Â by jrichardsonca Unfortunately a Little Disappointing
The photos of this dress are beautiful, as are almost all photos of FP's product. The description says it's made of rayon, which is usually one of my favorite materials for something like this. Unfortunately, I paid to have this dress overnighted for an event and found myself disappointed. It was a rayon material but not at all what I expected. It was stiff and didn't hang well. I'm 5'7, 130 lbs and ordered a medium according to the sizing chart. It was too roomy throughout the waist and much, much too short. I don't believe I could even wear this dress with tights or leggings. It really is more of a tunic or top than a dress. I often find FP dresses short, which is a shame because they're all such charming designs. The colors were very nice but between the material quality and short length, this item didn't work for the event I planned to wear it to and it regrettably needed to be returned. My expectations were higher given this garment's price point.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Clair Beautiful and comfortable
I fell in love with this dress when I tried it on in-store. I think the pictures here are indicative of how the dress actually fits - just oversized enough to be loose but not baggy. I also think the colors of the black dress are true to the pictures - the white/cream is a little yellowy, which the pictures show. The print is beautiful.
My only qualms came with the included slip - getting the dress and slip on and off while they are attached is difficult, but luckily there are snaps that attach the slip, so you can put the pieces on separately.
Overall, a really wonderful and comfy piece that will transition well from fall to winter to spring.
