I am 5'2", 100 lbs, got the 25, fit perfectly. They are of course waayyyyy too long, hence the 4/5 starts. It seems that FP is really doing away with short lengths all together, which is a shame, but I digress... I really like these pants and are totally worth getting them hemmed....

...but it pinches on the waist. I can't say these are true to size because they're small around the waist, BUT sizing up would be too large for the behind. I am 5' and 120lbs with an athletic build. Because pants tend to stretch out a bit I usually wear a 25, and that includes FP jeans. So I ordered these in the usual 25, but the elastic in the waist is tight. I've worn them several times hoping the waist would stretch out but the only thing that's stretched is the rear. So I agree with the review by queenofthehill and also feel as though I need to size up in the waist, yet size down in the bum. The waist isn't uncomfortable, it's just that it creates a small muffin top, so I have to choose my shirts wisely. Now, for my fellow petites, don't be turned off by the length. I prefer to purchase pants from a local store because they do free alterations AND know how to hem a pair of pants WITHOUT losing the cuff and/or flare at the bottom. Unfortunately, these pants are not available at this store and most people in my area who do alterations only know how to hem straight from the bottom, which means losing the flare. The flare on these pants is so long and decently wide that even after hemming them straight from the bottom there was still quite a bit of flare. Aside from the small waist and having to spend extra time and money to have them hemmed these pants are really wonderful, which is I why I was generous and gave 4 stars instead of 3. The espresso is the same color as appears on my screen, and if I didn't have to deal with cat fur in my home I'd consider the navy and black. If these came in an olive, gray, or even a darker brown I'd consider another pair and seeing how a 26 fits.

I got these cords in espresso colour, size 28. My waist is 28.5", hips 38.5". I loved them from the very beginning and they fit really well, the same as on the model, fitted through the hips and thighs. I hemmed them. After I wore them the first time they stretched too much! I mean they stretched at the bum area and thighs. I am really upset because I did not want them to stretch, I wanted them to keep the original shape. There is nothing I can do now. They are very comfortable, but the look is not the one I wanted. The waistband is good, so I am even more confused cause I think size 27 would have been too tight at the waist area. I was about to order them in another colour because I just loved the way the looked the first time I put them on! Will not do it now.

if you can believe it. I wanted these so bad that I bought them well before it's cool enough to wear cords again, but these are lightweight enough for even warmer days. However, I wore them around the house to get a feel, and the elastic band on the pull-on style hurts my tummy after 15 minutes. I had the same issue with the denim version. They do loosen up a little everywhere else. Normally a 27, in these I feel like I need a 28/29 waist with a 26/27 fit in the butt and thighs, and I'm eons from being egg-shaped. I sent my 27s back and may get a 28 or 29 later. But until then, I'd still highly recommend them.
