I usually wear an 8 and ordered this in the 12 and it fits me almost perfectly (5'10", 36B, 30" waist). I absolutely love the design and the fabric on this dress. However, I noticed several loose threads and I had to pull them through to the wrong side. While I was doing this, I noticed that some of the stitching is coming completely undone on the left side near the hip - almost looks as if someone wore this with a purse that rubbed against the fabric and destroyed the stitching in that area. I might not have noticed it if I hadn't been looking so closely but now I am concerned that it may unravel more and I'm not sure how to fix it. I absolutely love the dress - so unique and a flattering fit! But I am on the fence about it due to the quality of the stitching. If it weren't sold out, I would exchange it for another to see if this is an isolated issue. I would've given it 5 stars if not for the quality issue. 3.29.2013

I love the combination of distressed denim [much more distressed than in the online photos] combined with the feminine shape and impossibly pretty turquoise embroidery. I was heartbroken that there was just no way to make this dress fit my body shape. I ordered an 8 because I have a 38" bust circumference (36C bra). I wear a 4 on the lower body so I am used to having alterations done on dresses to bring in the waist. Sadly for me, the bust on the size 8 [at least the piece I received] was only 34" around. The waist was already 29", so this dress is perfect for smaller chested/ framed gals and especially flattering for pear shapes. I knew that if the 8 was only 34", even a 12 would not accomodate my chest and the waist would be absolutely huge. I highly recommend this dress and only took off the one star due to the off sizing. 1.16.2013

Think about ordering up from your regular size - particularly as there is no stretch to the fabric. I often wear a 2 in FP dresses, a 4 when not stretchy and I needed a 6 in this one (after exchanging). 11.9.2012

The fabric and look is versatile for multiple seasons and occasions, it feels well-made and the embroidery is very pretty. I can easily wear a bra with it by criss-crossing the straps. I pair it with a black belt, a silver cuff, and black stack-heel shoes. I ordered it offline, 0 is my normal size and it fits like a glove. it's sexy and classy at once! 10.6.2012
