yes, i read all the previous reviews and they were correct.... this dress runs very large but IMO, large can always be taken in, better than being stingy with fabric. in fact, this is one of the ways you can tell if a dress is well-made. i ordered it in the black print and it's gorgeous, ethereal and eye catching. but you have to wear it, not let it wear you. i choose to dress this up and wear it with vintage black heels and no other accessories except for a pair of gold earrings. i'm wearing it for thanksgiving and eventually, have it shortened to above the knees and wear it with skinny black jeans and heels. i love it and am so glad FP sells mes demoiselles! and so glad i ordered it.

i went down a size and the dress is still very roomy. what isn't roomy is the band on the sleeves as they feel a bit tight. i also bought this because i love the color of the sage combo, and even though a bit more greenish in person, it's still quite pretty. i'm 5'3" and the length is still fine. but it definitely isn't the most flattering dress. it's very shapeless and looks bulky. i'm still on the fence abut it, but i really want it to work. i think a fur vest might work well with it as it'd add some shape to the top.

When I first saw this dress in colour sage combo, I just fell in love with it. I ordered it immediately with no hesitate. When I received I found it's sooooo loose on me (even I am a little bit curvy...). It made me look like a penguin... I think if a really high and slim person may suit for this style...

I purchased this dress in the sage color. I was obsessed when I saw it posted on the blog at first. It sold out online pretty quickly. I purchased it in store. I usually wear a medium in dresses, sometimes a large if it is especially short or tight. I purchased the 36 in this dress (lthe smallest size you can get) and there is still a ton of fabric. I could not imagine anyone smaller than me wearing this dress. I am 5'7" and a size M-L and I am considering returning this dress because it is so big. However, I love the fabric and print. Also, the sage color is not as white as pictured, it definitely has a blue-green tint to it.

When I saw this dress I had to have it, but the sage color sold out in my size before I could order it. I decided to order the dress in the black color and purchase the other color if it ever came back into stock. It's a beautiful fabric and the pattern is gorgeous too, but it looks like something Mrs. Roper from Threes Company would wear. It's totally shapeless and not in a casual bohemian way. It's so unflattering. For the price I won't keep it, but I am so in love with the other pattern that if Free People EVER does restock it I will probably buy it and spend the extra money and significant alterations to make it wearable.

This dress is lovely, but HUGE! I normally take a size 40, but bought this in a 38, but it is still way too big. The amount of material used makes me look at least 3 sizes bigger....if this had been mentioned on the site I wouldn't have bought it, hence the 2 stars. Having said that, the material is beautiful!!

I LOVED the pattern on this dress; the colors and flowers are gorgeous. However, the dress runs very big; I am normally a petite/xs and ordered the 36 since it is the smallest size that this dress comes in. I tried a belt with it, but that made the fabric on the sides bunch up even more around my hips. I am going to see if my tailor can take it in in the back to eliminate some of the excess material. It is just too pretty to return unless it is unalterable.
