"I had ankle boots, mid-calf boots, moccasins, sandels in mind to go with this on my 5'4, size 4 frame. The dress had so much potential! Excellent ethnic red, shape, and it hung well but...The dress was too long by a foot at least! It could have come in a bit too. I would say order down two sizes and trade out the slip or find something to cover your fanny because too long or not, the slip did not keep my behind covered."

"I read the reviews on here before buying a small in the oyster shade. I was expecting the dress to measure 33 inches from the top of the shoulder to the hem. When I received my dress it was much longer than I expected. The first knitted horizontal line falls close to my hip bone (instead of near the waist). The dress itself fell below my knees!! I finally measured the dress and mine measures 37 inches from the top of the shoulder to the hem. It's just long enough to look awkward on me :(. I'm not a thin person by any means either. I am 5'6", 125-130lbs,34c. I did buy mine from L&T, so maybe I received a defective dress???"

Lovely, but too short.

"I was so sad to have to send this dress back. It was such a pretty color red, but just a little bit too short to wear as a dress without pants, which is how I wanted to wear it. I am 5'6 115 lbs and got the XS. I have a little booty (not flat) which is where it seemed a little obscene. Also, the slip underneath was a little on the ill-fitting side. I thought about sizing up, but since it wasn't available to try on in the store, I just opted for something else."

"This dress is fabulous. Very well made and flattering fit.I am often conflicted about ordering from FP catalogue because many times the quality is lacking. This piece however is worth every penny.It is a beautiful shade of true red and extremely flattering. The workmanship and fabric is of good quality. I saw this on the rack and fell in love with it."

"Very cute and comfortable. I decided to keep this dress and just buy a thin tank dress to wear under it (if I want red underneath instead of black or the like - red slips are hard to come by apparently)... it IS expensive, like most FP items, but unique and well-made so I'm keeping it. Very cute dressed down with flats and even cuter in cooler weather with tall boots!"

"Very pretty in person, nice fit true to size. But i really didn't like the shade of red. I'm fair complected, and reds can be hit or miss. Also, while this dress hangs nicely.. there was something about the lack of structure that annoyed me. It is very versitile though... the slip is removable, so you can try different slips with it.."

"I had been drooling over this dress since it came out and finally ordered it. It's worth every penny! I am a short and curvy girl and this flatters my figure perfectly. There is enough room for my girls (36D) but then cinches to hug my waist. I ordered a large to be on the safe side instead of my usual medium. A medium would have fit well too. The skirt and sleeves are a little more flowy than they look in the picture but I think it adds so much charm to the dress. The color is great. Free People hasn't failed me yet!"
