The one complaint I have for this dress is that the bottom hem is unfinished, so the silk at the bottom frays easily. The "belt" ribbon has no give, so if you do not fit at the point where the ribbon is, you need to go up a size. I would agree with one of the previous posters, the quality of the fabric of the dress doesn't feel like a $500 dress. But, I do like Candela and their designs. This dress is perfect for somewhere with summer weather.

I snatched up this dress as soon as it went on sale - it is NOT worth the original price but is a great purchase for the sale price. I agree with the other reviewers - it runs big. I usually run a small (5'8 125 lbs) but this was roomy everywhere along the torso. Hopefully sizing down will solve the slight bagginess I had going on in the waist. I have a long torso, so the waist length wasn't a problem for me, but I can see that this will not work for short-waisted wearers. It is also quite long but will work fine with a wedge. I'm exchanging for the x-small because the color of this is stunning. If your favorite color is green, get it. It's more of an emerald than the photo suggests, and I can't pass up on a dress that looks so flowy hippie beautiful in the color of my dreams. The top of this is lovely, love the off the shoulder. Worth it to try a smaller size! I plan to wear this to a wedding this summer. It's perfect for an occasion like that.

I am normally a M, sometimes a S. I ordered the S because the product measurements suggested that anything bigger would sag in the waist (I'm a 27 FP jean). Well, it fits in the waist but not as it does on the model, which is the intended style. It's also too long, even for me (6'0), and the raw hem produces loose strands that were a safety hazard just while I was trying it on. I was really satisfied with the sale price but would have to spend about 60 or more to have it altered and hemmed to fit as it should. Keep in mind that though it is 100% silk, it's not nearly worth the original price or even half, IMO. Not all silks are created equal. And the elastic around the top part is tighter than it should be to have a waist that runs semi-large. It's also a true emerald green and dressier in person. I stood back from the mirror and asked myself "where the heck am I going to even wear this?" This piece should be the gold nugget for any bride-to-be frantically looking for bridesmaid dresses, but other than that, I can't imagine a purpose that wouldn't be a tad forced or highly rare. I really like it but think I should return it and spend that dough on something I like more and would wear more often...like an actual FP item.

Only good for people with long torsos.
I bought this and then returned it because the top part of the dress, from the chest to the waist, scrunches up and made me look like a balloon.
