I bought this dress in black for a fall wedding and I was so happy with my purchase. BE WARNED: if you are expecting it to be tight, it definitely is loose-fitting, especially in the sleeves. It is extremely flattering, and looks great over tights or just by itself. I have a pretty round butt and it's a bit shorter on me than on the model in the photo, but it's not too short. You can't really see in the photo, but there's a drawstring at the waist that ties in the back, which you can tighten to give it more shape. I'm 5'8" 128lbs (size 4/27) and the small fit perfectly, hitting mid thigh. A final note - DON'T machine wash it; rinse it by hand, stretch it out a bit, and lay it out to dry. This way the fabric stays shiny. :)

I ordered this dress online because I loved the colours in the photo. The fabric and print did not disappoint. It is a little bit silkier than I was thinking it would be... seeing as it is listed as cotton. When I first put it on, I was horrified. The sleeves are SO puffy on me (they look pretty square in the photo... which I assumed was just because the model is angular... but they are actually kind of puffy and rounded), and they weren't kidding when they called it shapeless. If I pull the drawstring tight in the back, then it looks 100% more wearable. I am petite but very chesty, so I find that with the puffy sleeves, high neckline, and how drapey it is on the bust, it makes me look quite large up top. I think that if maybe I could have gone down a size or if the bust/waist was more fitted then it would probably look better. I ordered a size XS and I am 5'3, 32DD bust, and 24" waist. You definitely want to size down in this one. I don't know that I'll ever wear this dress alone-- I'd probably try and wear it with a cardigan or scarf or something to try and break it up a bit. I couldn't send it back though, because the colours/fabric are too beautiful. I'm determined to make it work... but had I been able to try it on in stores, I probably would have decided against it.

I'm usually S-M in Free People dresses, depending on the fit. This one seemed like a looser fit so I got a S, and it's perfect. If you're between sizes, go down a size. The print is gorgeous, and the little tie in the back gives a little shape to a "shapeless dress." The length is perfect if you're around 5'7'', as it goes a little below my fingertips.

I was looking forward to getting a great babydoll-style dress for the Fall so I ordered this in the vintage yellow color. Unfortunately, when I tried it on, it fit longer than I wanted it to. I can't size down because the bust would fit too tight. In addition, it has a dropped waist, which I think would look better if the dress were shorter. On the upside, the fabric is a soft, silky cotton and there is a cute cord applique along the neckline and sleeves. I'm bummed that this dress didn't look good on me...

So I ordered this dress in the yellow in a size Large, my normal size and it is alittle loose which I like. I only gave it 4 stars because I had to alter it alittle bit. Since I'm only 5'1" the dress is longer on me than on the model. I wanted to wear this as a top and not a dress so I cut off the 3 bottom tiers (layers) and just left the first tier and it is now perfect! Looks great with skinnies!

I really thought this could be a super cute entering fall dress... I know we are nowhere near that here in Texas but I'm always shopping for cute stuff.
I cannot decide if this dress is really cute or too plain and well "shapeless" to wear without looking like I found it at goodwill .
I got the x-small at 5'4 and 112 and it fits ok. It is short but not explicitly so. But the bagginess in the stomach area coupled with the short length and bagginess in the chest just irk me for some reason.
I haven't returned it yet, because I literally cannot decide if I like this in a "fashion" sense but it does nothing for my body at all. Which it shouldn't being a "shapeless dress" . just not sure at all.
The color is great, the length fits like a babydoll, not too short in the back. but yes something bout the stomach area makes me feel like I am wearing a maternity dress. That could be my own pet peeve or a part of the dress pattern/sewing.
