Rated 3 out of 5Â by chickenmama Too big and shapeless My daughter and I so wanted to love this dress, but sadly it is just too shapeless and big. The material is also kind of heavy and it makes the dress stand away from your body in the places where it is too large. For comparison, she is 5'3/130 lbs with subtle curves, lots of muscle because she's a dancer, 34C and usually wears a S or a 6 in FP. This dress just stood out away from her back and was too long to look right on her. Maybe a taller person might look better in it. Also, the lilac colorway is kind of dreary looking. For the money this needed to look amazing, so sad to say it's going back. 4.14.2013

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jenithea gorgeous materials, but look out... This dress is beautiful, but if you order it be aware of a few things. First of all, it hangs like a sack. On the model it looks neatly fitted, but even though I am a size 10 and normally take a Large in FP items, the Large fit like a tent. I exchanged it for the Medium, which fit like a slightly smaller tent. After doing some tailoring (adding loops and laces to tighten up the back of the bodice area, etc) the size Medium looks pretty good on me. But be aware that unless you size down at least 2 sizes from what you normally wear, or do some tailoring to the dress, it will NOT look fitted on you the way it does on the model. The other concern I have is with the rhinestones, which are not sewn on very securely. Three rhinestones fell off before I'd ever even worn the dress, and the first time I wore it, three more fell off. (I was only able to find one of them, so unfortunately the others are probably gone for good.) And the holes in the rhinestone settings are so small that you cannot use a normal sewing needle to sew them back on. I couldn't even fit a beading needle through the hole. I ended up having to use a very fine wire needle especially made for threading pearls. Considering how expensive this dress was, I would have appreciated it if the rhinestones were a little more firmly attached. Aside from these two issues, however, the dress is beautiful and clearly made of high-quality materials. I love the colors, the embroidery, and the ombre dye effect. 2.25.2013
