"Im short and I wanted to wear this maxi with flats, so I took other reviewers advice and cut the bottom, and bam looks the same and fits perfect! I just wish the fabric would of been better quality, then I would think the price was worth it, love the pockets though!"

"I love this skirt but it is just too long!I ordered this in medium (I have never been a size small in anything); I am 5'9 130 lbs and I pulled this thing up as high up as it will go without falling and it is still too long!! It would probably be just fine with some sort of heeled shoe but I prefer flats. I'll probably still keep this though because I love the material and the overall look. Maybe I'll even try a smaller size."

"i never want to take it off, but i'm 5'5 and even with heels the xs is dragging quite a lot on the floor, but if i still feel like an angel wearing it, and if i was taller i wouldn't be able to find a fault; shaped beautifully and heavenly material. at home i never take it off even though I'm tripping now at an average of 12 times a day and when i have it hemmed a bit I'm sure end up being mistaken for a nun from wearing it so often. so, if you're small and accident prone like me, this skirt could be a potential health hazard but regardless its cute and cozy and should be bought"

"Pros: Silhouette is feminine and can be casual or dressed up, soft comfy jersey material, taupe color is versatile without being black.
Cons: Length is very long, could be smaller around the waistband to be more true to size.
I wear an XS, 5'5", 105 lbs. and the XS in this skirt could be smaller around the waist to fit correctly. It's not falling off of me, but it doesn't sit on it's own as high on my waist as I'd like to wear it (like it is shown on the model). Quick fix: thin wrap around leather belt, one with holes all along to belt to adjust accordingly. Yes, the length is super long, but that's a good thing for the taller girls. The hem can always be cut since it is a raw edge. I couldn't come to terms with cutting it yet so in the meantime, I discovered that it looks cute tucked into one of the pockets. Just grab whole skirt from the bottom and tuck it into a pocket on one side, makes for a different flattering silhouette when rocked with heels. Enjoy!"

"I ordered this skirt in the size S and the size M. I wear them both pulled up to my waist, so that the pockets are where pockets are supposed to be. There is only a small difference in the waistband between the S and the M, I can wear both comfortably. The size S, when worn high on my waist, just brushes the floor (I'm 5'9) whereas the M is a few inches longer. Also, the S fits more like the picture of the black skirt (more narrow throughout) and the M fits more like how the taupe is pictured. They are really cute and cool. I love maxis, and love that FP make them long enough for taller girls to wear. A part of me wishes the material was sturdier or thicker, but that's okay. I still love it, and have yet to find a skirt similar elsewhere."

"I just bought this skirt today in my local Free People store. It took my a minute to figure out that this skirt is definitely supposed to be worn high on the waist. The pockets would look weird if you don't pull it up to line them properly with your hips. The length on this actually is perfect for my height. I'm 5'9" and it hits the ground a little for me however I like my skirts to do that since I'm long legged and usually everything is to short for me. I love the way this skirt drapes and the way it feels. I have lots of tops I would wear with this too. I can't wait to wear it tomorrow or even tonight!"
