"Aside from the obvious problem of transparency, this piece did not function as a top for me at all. I am a 30DD, so I will attribute the lack of chest coverage to that classic problem I have with strapless tops. I also tried the under-sweater look, where it wouldn't matter as much if my chest was not completely covered by the slip, but the gathering at the front ended up looking a bit like a male appendage, if you catch my drift. Instead, I opted to drop this down and make it into a skirt, which looks great over a tank top. Being able to see where all of the gatherings begin completely solves the latter problem. Why did I go through all of this trouble? Because the slip itself is absolutely gorgeous, despite its problems with fitting. The fabric is wonderfully soft and delicate, and the muted pattern adds to its elegance. I look forward to wearing this "skirt" over shorts and a tank top with some cute flats or sandals!"

"I bought this item specifically to wear as a skirt (it's a little to boho as a top for me) and it's perfect! Got the seamless romper in black to go underneath, and the two together look fantastic! Great for the sale price. For sizing I got the medium (5'6 150lbs)."

"This slip is beautiful, I love the blue colorway. I immediately wanted to purchase it when it was featured in a FP email newsletter. But when I finally received it and tried it on it didn't look nearly as cute on me. Possibly because I'm shorter? ...Pretty in theory but not on me"

"This is such a fantastic layering item! It works well both over and under items and I am still finding new ways to wear it since I first picked it up in store in July. The length is great (I'm five foot and it didn't drown me) and the uneveness of the layers and slight crop in the front give your outfits an interesting twist. Also the very girly nature of the top can be paired with a more structured jacket or under or over a tee or tank for a nice contrast of hard and soft (cowboy boots are a must!). Oh and this is a slip so yes it is sheer so if you plan to wear it on its own you will need a bandeau. I bought the light colored one because the pattern was less obvious."
