I think this dress is really cute. It can be dressy or casual and it looks cute with a FP jacket. I like the unique detail of the front. Great price on sale too!

Was so excited to receive this after reading the reviews and the others were absolutely right! The dress fits very well and the material is beautiful. Perfect for a casual day at school or around town but also could wear it out at night. I am absolutely in love with this dress!

A few things I'd like to point out:
- The very middle section is a rectangle of lace that's the same lace as the bodice
- The lace mentioned above was not sewn on properly, at least on the dress I got.
That being said, it took me a few turns in front of the mirror to really convince myself of this dress. The middle section struck me as a bit awkward at first; you can't see it in the photo - it's kind of flanked by the two longer sides, so to me it looked like it had the potential to make my hips look larger. However, I'm totally convinced after wearing this dress to NY for the 4th! It's super comfortable, it was easy to travel in, and the greatest thing to me about it is that it doesn't cut your boobs off awkwardly (as most strapless dresses do). I wear a strapless bra with it. Great first buy :) I'm 5'5" and 111 lbs, and the XS fit perfectly.

I was on the fence about this when I tried it on at home so I figured I would wear it to work today as a trial run and I am so glad I did! I am in LOVE with the movement of the skirt!! Even the slightest breeze makes it tumble and flutter and I feel like a total goddess, it's so so good. The material is gauzy, fairly light, and ribbed in a way that makes it look very finely pleated, meaning that it is stretchy and voluminous and drapes really nicely. I really can't get over how dramatic and pretty it is. My only disappointment in the skirt is that the 'high' part is actually just a shorter lace panel stitched to the rest of the skirt, when I thought/hoped it was a separate, wrap-around skirt peeking out from under the 'low' part. I also don't love the top of the dress as much as I totally adore the bottom, although it's not bad. The applique is nice and seems to be pretty sturdily attached (I'm still going to be very careful washing it though), and the smocking in the back combined with the line of grippy material along the inside front hem makes the bodice snug so it doesn't require constant yanking like some strapless dresses do. Unfortunately, the straps are REALLY flimsy. You can kind of tell by the photos that they're the same lace as in the bodice, just folded over and stitched into a tube, but since it's lace some parts are really thin and seem breakable. Fortunately the bodice is sturdy/fitted enough that the straps don't have to hold the dress up, but I would recommend going with a smaller size if you are between sizes to ensure you're not relying on them. The loops where the straps attach are also not great; they're sewn about 1/4" beneath the top of the dress, and since the straps are pulling upwards the top hem of the dress (including the grippy material) flips over. I think I'm just going to toss the straps and use a seam ripper to remove the attachment loops, since they poke out when they're not connected to the straps.
All in all this is a really beautiful and interesting dress and you will feel 100% heavenly in it! The only real flaw is the straps, and the bodice is made well enough that you don't even need them! It will be pretty long on shorter women; I'm 6' and the M fits just a few inches shorter on me than the model. I really love this dress. With the strap flaws I might not have paid full price for it but at the sale price it's a no-brainer. Buy it, you will love it!!
