Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed! I bought this with my birthday discount in the Big Ben color. I was so disappointed when I received it instead of the lovely light sand color it was much darker with splotches of the light sand color thrown in. Weird! I bought my usual size and it was very tight especially through the arms and shoulders. The jacket also runs really short. I sent it back and was really disappointed it did not look as it was pictured. 12.22.2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classical Piece Sized up to an 8 in the Big Ben and fit is perfect. I like to layer and still can now without the jacket being to tight but still a perfect fit. No tightness under the arms. My daughter bought the 6 and perfect fit also. She has a 34" bust and 37" for me. I wasn't in love with the colour at first, was more hoping for an ivory/creamy texture. This looks more to me like a washed out mustard colour and slightly darker to the pictures. Jacket has stretch and is super comfortable. It's a mid weight jacket with pretty paisley lining. In my opinion, not for cold winter days, more an Autumn/Spring piece. Loved the fit, style, pockets and detailing so much that I have ordered the black one also. Great classical piece you will have in your wardrobe for a while...until FP bring out a new style you want to try!! :-) 8.17.2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable but color is off The jacket is very very soft and a great weight. Like that canvas jacket you had as a kid you'd wear in the fall. The liner is a really pretty, soft, blue fabric, and the elastic collar and waist make it very cozy. The sleeves are fitted, and the overall silhouette is flattering. It fits true to size- I wanted a snugger fit, so I got a 0 (I'm 5'5", around 114 lbs, 34C). My only complaint is the faux distress pattern they added to the khaki color. I docked one star because I wasn't expecting it, and I'm hoping after a few washes it will become less apparent. But overall it's a great little jacket! 8.16.2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great transition piece into fall This jacket is really comfortable. It has the perfect weight because it's thick enough to keep you warm without it feeling bulky. The contrast ribbing and dye gives it that vintage look. I tried on the 0 and the 2 in store. In the end, I stuck with my usual size 0 because the shoulders were too wide and sleeves too long with the 2. Because of the ribbing, the jacket has some stretch so that you can still layer underneath. 8.2.2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Let Down I was so excited for this jacket! The photos are gorgeous. I love the classic light beige colour of "Big Ben" and the clean lines and sleekness of the jacket -- in the photos that is. In person, true as other reviewers said, the colour was a bit darker, which I didn't mind. What I did mind, however was how utterly ill-fitting this jacket was. It doesn't have beautiful clean lines like it does in the photos, it was boxy, broad and even baggy looking. I have a short torso as it is at 5'1" tall, but this just seemed to erase my torso altogether. It made me look squat and broad (I am 105 lbs). The fabric is thick and heavy feeling - I was expecting more of a light fall jacket. This went back. 8.23.2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE! Hands down one of my favorite Free People purchases! I was lucky enough to find one of these in the Big Ben color marked down to $50 in one of the San Francisco stores this past March. Unfortunately, it's a size 10 which is a little too big for me. For reference, I usually wear medium in dresses, 36B, size 28 in denim. I think I could go down two sizes from my size 10, even with my thicker arms. But beware - a lot of people on here have complained about the color. It's not solid-colored. It's more of a marbled pattern like in the close up pictures. But still really cute and well-made! 7.1.2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Big Ben I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with this jacket. I got the size 4 (my usual size) and it fits like a glove. I also tried the size 6, but just the one size up was too baggy for me. I love how warm and cozy the jacket is, and the material inside the collar is perfect for keeping your neck warm. I was not anticipating how comfortable this jacket would be, but it has caused me to wear the jacket as often as I can. The color is darker than what's pictured, and the bleached splotches are a little weird, but I don't even care. I think they give the jacket character. The jacket is perfect over a feminine dress or shirt; it gives what you're wearing a little edge. Highly recommend! 3.8.2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by IN LOVE I held off on buying this jacket for quite some time. I finally caved and ordered the Big Ben colored jacket. Other reviewers said it ran small but I ordered a 2 and it fit fine. It's a little snug in the arms but it's not too tight and it will most likely stretch a little bit. It's definitely worth the price and it will be perfect for spring.i have blonde hair and was a little worried the color might wash me out or clash with my hair but it doesn't! It's seriously perfect. 1.31.2014
