I wanted this skirt sooo bad. I eagerly awaited it. I was very surprised that after spending $400 on a skirt they shipped it the slow boat, ground UPS. For $400 you'd expect better.
Anyway, after it finally arrived I was delighted by how gorgeous and unique it was, but it did not fit. It was way too big. I ordered my usual size 2 and I probably need a size 0, which they do not have right now.
Let me just tell you that not only does it run very big, it is also very heavy. The weight of the skirt pulls it down your hips. It also is veeeery long in the back. I thought it was so beautiful I thought about having it altered to fit at the waist and at the hem but it would have totally ruined the skirt. So sadly I sent it back.
I may try it again if they get any size 0's in stock
For reference. I am 5'3", 116 lbs and a size 2 was way too big.

If you like the type of clothing that will get you noticed, you won't see anyone else wearing, and like to be different, this is the skirt for you! I was on the fence because of its price and finally decided to order it. Glad I did. As the other reviewers noted, it does run a bit big. I ordered a size down and it fits perfectly. If you are skirmish about showing your legs, you might want to consider wearing some biker shorts underneath because it will show your thighs. It is long in the back and will drag the floor unless you are over 6 ft tall. (I so wish FP would not make their pants & skirts so long). It does have some weight to it. I love mine and am happy with the purchase.

I just received this skirt and it is OMG awesome! It is even more beautiful than pictured and is unlike any skirt I have ever seen. The lace is very antique looking and is very intricate with different lace pieces everywhere. My only issue with it is the length. I am a petite 5' 1" and it needs shortening which will probably need a pro to do. I luv maxi skirts so I am use to having things shortened. Additionally I ordered a 2 because the buttons on the models appeared to be pulling. I normally wear xs in free people clothes and now I will need to return this beauty. At first glance I thought I could just move the buttons at the waist to make it work but the type of button used makes it impossible so a size 0 is on the way! Definitely worth the big price tag!!!!

I decided to splurge and get this skirt. It really looks incredible on and is definitely a statement piece. it fits TTS. It definitely has a little weight to it which I don't really don't mind. It's not to much. It is long-- I'm 5'9" and it hits the floor, so I'll have to be careful to wear it on a nice day/night. Also it is a little bit short in the front but I have plenty of boy shorts to throw under it. This will look great with any of the boots I have in my closet. I love how you can wrap it on you and button it up. I also recently purchased a black button down T-shirt from Free People that would looks awesome with this. Maybe I can wear this on New Year's Eve. It should be warm enough for the evening.

I am not used to walking on my clothes. Literary, this skirt drags on the floor so much, that -when trying it on with high heels- I was stepping on it and I am 5'7".
Had this been half its price, I wouldn't even think twice but for $400 is it really worth keeping it if I will be wearing it two, maybe three times a year?
FYI, I usually wear 2 or 4, got this in a size 2 and it is still a bit loose in the waist so I suggest to size down.

I really wanted to love this skirt - and I do, but there are a few minor things that kept me from giving it 5 stars. First, one of the buttons fell off right out of the package - you wouldn't think this would happen on a $400 skirt. The hole left behind made me a little nervous that this could be a common issue with the weight of the skirt and the somewhat thin material the metal buttons are attached to. I agree with other comments that this runs a size large - I can be between a 2 and 4, so I tried a 2 in this and though I have to return it for the damage anyway I also have to exchange it for a 0. I really love the lighter wash and wish they had a 0 left, but since they don't I'm going to give the grey a chance in person and see if I like it better than I do in the photos just because I love the style enough to give it a chance! One more thing - it is LONG. Even with heels it will drag on me quite a bit at 5'5" - but it is a frayed edge, so cutting it off and fraying it yourself shouldn't be an issue!
