Was given this as an xmas gift- love it! It's so interesting and fun for a maxi dress, plus the ruffles fall nicely. It is a little bit longer on me than on the model, I might get skirt lifts if I'm wearing it without heels. The fabric is also a teeny bit see-through, so it's good to be aware of that before buying (and wear dark underwear or a slip underneath). I love the detail of the wrap around (there are little slits in the top layer that allow you to bring the ties through seamlessly). On the whole I'm *very* happy with it and definitely recommend it to others looking to add a victorian/steampunk flair to your wardrobe!

I am very glad I waited for this to go on sale, because as other reviewers said, the material I would say is not worth the original price. The style does make up for it. There are so many possible ways to wear this dress. I tried like the model and I also tried it making the ruffles into a bustle type of look. The skirt is more of a maxi on me (I am 5'3"). It is a bit see through/opaque so I plan on wearing a slip or slimming shorts. But I am excited about wearing this out!

When I first saw this skirt online, I had to order it to see it in person. I love maxi skirts and especially those with a unique style like this one. The color and pattern are exactly as pictured. It is a wrap around skirt and it's a little confusing figuring out how the string on the side fits into the holes on the other side to ensure that the big ruffle shows in front. When I tried to do it the first time, the big ruffle was underneath the skirt, so you have to play with it a little to get the "big ruffle" effect. That said, it has a unique look to it with a Victorian flair. It's a great length too; you don't have to hem it; it fell just above my ankle as on the model. The material is a soft, somewhat thin cotton. I only gave it 4 stars due to the price. I don't know why it couldn't be $100 less. It just doesn't feel like a skirt that is almost $300, but it's such a unique look that I'm not sure I will return it. If you are curious about it, it's worth a try to order it and see for yourself if fits your style.

i knew what to expect as my sister had already got one yes thin fabric but lots of it and managed to make wearable by shortening by removing the bottom row of 2 separate ruffles.wondered if i got a customer return as during alteration i found 2 holes in one of the other ruffles which has a very narrow ruffle over sewn on it luckily can probably stitch up and hide them got a |medium as large sold out flexible fit so fine.My skirt looked more dk khaki and black

This skirt is so unique and so beautiful but unfortunately it just didn't look so great on me. It would suit someone who was tall and slim!
