This skirt does look as it does on the screen, yet there is something more unusual and special about it than is apparent at first sight. It might be partly that the semi-sheer mesh of the black tiers doesn't come across until you see it. Not so sheer you couldn't wear it to work! It's lovely and it's interesting, not at all the standard floral tiered skirt you might think at first sight. There's a bit of casual sophistication going on. The fabrics make it hang and move well, and the overlapping layers of the top tiers make for a good drape too: it doesn't fan out frumpily from the waist down like your average tiered skirt, and the chevron shape of the tiers and hem are really attractive design features that make it flattering and give it a bit of edge. It's definitely worth a second look if you weren't sure. My only quibble is the price: the design is superior, but it's still eye-wateringly expensive! I took a star off for this reason, but I'm keeping mine and will love wearing it. I think it looks better with a casual black top than the grey shown on screen (the Diamond Dozen in black looks good with it!). For reference, I'm 5'6" UK 14/16 and the L fits neatly (there is no give in the waistband), with good full maxi length.
