i had bought this same skirt about 2-3 years ago. back then the fabric was thick, soft and very stretchy. I'm 5'7'' and bought the small in black and the taupe color. when i saw that they were making them in other colors i bought the green. when i received it i was so disappointed! the quality was not the same, it wasnt thick at all, quite thin and not as stretchy as the original, i had to struggle to get it on which i dont have to do with the ones i bought before. the quality went down with the new colors they made them in, so for that i have to send it back. when i shop at free people i kinda expect quality with the price point but this one fell wayyy short of that, which sucks because i loved the first 2 i bought! free people please get the old fabric back! the new fabric is terrible in comparison!

got this skirt in the peache puree & army green! Ive been wanting an army green skirt forever and this is a wonderful purchase. color is just as pictured, same with the peach. the only odd thing i noticed is the elastic band in the top of the skirt -in my peach colored one its stretchy, normal. however, in the army green one, its really tight and only stretches to a certain point, causing the seams to tear. it was hard to get on at first even though it was the same size as the other one, xs.. not too worried about it though. love this piece!

This skirt is really slimming, but still comfortable. Since it is ruched it has the tendency to ride up a little, but doesn't need constant adjustment. It's a little on the short side on me, but my inseam is 37" and I'm sure length shouldn't be a problem on most frames. It does run small though - I'm between sizes and glad I went with the larger. Great skirt!

This is a basic, simple cotton mini skirt. Nothing special. Great to have for an effortless dressing up or an easy casual day skirt. I got it in black, for those don't-know-what-to-wear nights out.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NiJo It is taupe, not lilac.
(5'4" - 125lbs) Ordered the Taupe in Sm, and it fit perfectly. Not too tight that it will scrunch up, and not too loose so that it is still form fitting and sexy. When I ordered, I was partially expecting it to be a light lilac color as per another review, but it is taupe - a brownish grey with some purple influence, not a light purple. The photo is just slightly brighter than the actual color, but holding the item up to the screen, they are very similar in color and you should not be shocked by any difference, as they are minuscule.

The taupe skirt is really a sort of neutral lilac in person. I did not have a problem with this, as I bought mine at one of the FP stores in New York City and thus saw what I was getting, but other people may be disappointed.
I got the extra small in this without trying it on, and it fits perfectly.
Note that when walking, this skirt has a habit of scrunching up, making it sorter than it intended to be.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by dollie high waist scrunch skirt; taupe; size xs
I was a little worried after buying this skirt and reading some of the negative reviews related to small sizing, quality, and fabric. However, I was pleased when I received this top in the mail. The fit is TTS--I am an xs in FP dresses, and the skirt was perfect in an xs as well. The length was good (mid-thigh) and could be scrunched a bit up or down. However, I did give this skirt four stars instead of five because, as other reviewers have noted, this is a thinner/cheaper quality material than the original FP scrunch skirts. I have been ordering from FP for years and have bought a couple of scrunch skirts of theirs in the past--these definitely were of a thicker/softer/seemingly higher quality material. However, the new material is not bad. I do kinda wish they kept the same material, but it is still a great skirt. p.s.: the taupe color is a tan/brown color and not the lavendar/mauve color shown in the studio photos--however, I already knew this as I could tell by the FP Me photos below.

Love the scrunched front of this skirt - makes it a little more interesting than your run-of-the-mill miniskirt. Other reviewers complained about the quality of the fabric but considering the price of this piece relative to other FP merchandise, you are getting what you pay for.
