Most of the tops I tend to buy are a very funky and patterned so I wasn't too excited when I first got these. However, I soon realized how very versatile (and still very unique) these tops are. I got both the aubergine and oatmeal in an xs. The small was a little too bulky and I don't mind the sleeves being snug. I pair both of these with the Military Ruffle Jacket, some skinny jeans, and chunky boots.

I purchased this top in oatmeal heather. I liked it so much that I bought it in two other colors with pre-black Friday deals at a department store. I rarely do that. I don't like to have multiples of the same shirt, so that's really saying something, y'know?
So onto my review. I love how this top looks. If you have a less-than-perfect mid-section, or are just having a bad tummy day, this can help cover things up. I've had two C-sections and my belly is not looking so great. I love how I looks with a scarf, skinnies, and boots (see my pic)
I ordered my usual size, a large. As other reviewers have indicated, the sleeves are a bit fitted. It is also fitted through the shoulders and at the bustline, begins to flare out into a swing/A-line shape.
This is how the top is designed to look. I love that the sleeves are a little snug, it keeps the shirt from looking sloppy. I have bigger arms and I find them comfortable, so I'm sure you'd be fine with your normal size.
So - you don't need to size up because of the sleeves. You don't need to size down because of the body. It's just how the top is designed to look. I could maybe see sizing down if you're between sizes, going with your smaller size.
If you're looking for a waffle-weave top that has looser arms and is fitted, check out the Auntie Em top. I have that in seafoam. It looks best worn with the sleeves pushed up on the elbows.

I guess after you've shopped w/fp for a while you expect everything to be amazing. So, I was a bit underjoyed w/this. There's nothing wrong w/it; the material is not as thin as I thought it would be, the color (blue) is vibrant, it's just a little plain. I think it would be cuter if back was a little longer which would give it more of a swing. It will be a good layering piece for the cold winters here in the PNW. For reference I'm 34B, 5'8, 135 and ordered a Medium which fit just right. Could've even ordered a large if I wanted an oversized look. (I'm usually always a SM in fp.)

by susila Better than Billie Jean thermal!
Love love love this top! My favorite top this fall. Am about to order yet another color now. I have 3 Billie Jean tops, and this is softer and has a bit of a swing at the bottom, very flattering. Wear this in or out...it's my go to top! Got the gray in a M (I am 5'4" with thin arms, and a S or M in FP) and it's TTS with wee stretch. Get one if you haven't already! You'll be thrilled!

Finally a thermal that isn't tight-fitting! I bought this in oatmeal and blue and they both are great! The blue is true to color. Super comfortable and very casual. I found my new go-to comfort shirt!

I bought this in 2 colors. The fabric is super soft! And the fit is fantastic. It's beyond comfortable! Looks great with leggings or skinny jeans.

Ok, so this is a roomy top, but not in a baggy, unflattering way. The arms are fitted so it doesnt look careless. I love the swing of the bottom hem, its super comfy in general and just overall a great staple piece to have in your closet. Throw it on with the FP High Waist Scrunch Skirt(got mine in Fig), some tall lace up boots and you are smokin' :) Got lots of compliments and looks without having to sacrifice comfort. Comfort is so important for me. I got the Aubergine and I just placed another order for the grey. Love it!

I depend on reviews - feel fair to tell - I'm 5'8" 138 lbs -40B however have a 6" wrist & wear a size 5 ring on my ring finger -have always been hard to fit - top excellent for me - but the sleeves are very narrow - I can still push them up a bit - so be aware -I have thin limbs -(however I can't wait to wear it at my age like to hide my lower ab-
