I wanted so much too love this blouse. I bought the mustard color one and had plans on wearing it with a nice pair of shorts. It drapped so bad on my body as if I was wearing a cape or paper sak. I was so disappointed. But the fabric was nice material and did not look cheap as opposed to some types of polyester, or semi looking velvet. It just did not work. I tried every angle, but it was not happening. Otherwise it is very nice, but not for me.

Not sure what others mean by 'boxy', but for me it is just a perfect original top. Got the mustard in XS and it fits perfectly.Looks nice with the Tribal Print Ankle Crop Deep in plum. To wear without bra or if you really need one, wear a black cami under it.

I love this top. Yeah it is boxy but if you read the dimensions given by FP you'd know that so I think it is "true to size". I wear a camisol under it. I got the mustard and it looks great with black #and blue# jeans. The length is perfect for its dimensions. The crop length offsets the width so it doesn't look like you are wearing something too big. The style speaks for itself and the ruffle is the perfect accent..especially with the material it is made from. Very unique in my opinion. I always use the "handwash" cycle on my machine for garments with more delicate material and then hang to dry. It looks as good as the day I bought it.

I have the black (or was it charcoal). Yes it's boxy maybe, but that cut is very slimming for the hourglass type especially when worn with shorts. I'm 5'4 and 140, and I have the L. The low back looks good over a cami that comes about halfway up.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by tlslcsw A pleasant surprise
First of all, can Free People stop shipping in those envelopes stuffed with paper fluff? The envelope inevitably tears and the particles have leaked all over everything. Luckily, the contents were unharmed. When I pulled this out of the bag, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is actually a gold metallic! Nowhere in the description does it say it was metallic. Since metallics are hot for this Fall and Winter season, I was really excited. The top is adorable too. It is very low in the back but I liked it because you can wear a tank or cami that you really like under it as it will show. That adds another dimension to it. The material feels a little strange but I decided it was ok. Its very oversized but the material is crinkly so it makes it less baggy. I would have worn it immediately but it has been too hot for the long sleeves. Can't wait for it to cool down enough for me to sport the look.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Jessx Floaty top, nice fabric
Is quite wide but that creates the floaty look. Not sure what to wear underneath as the back reveals the bra strap...possibly a plain singlet.
Won't keep you warm! Although it looks almost wooly, the fabric is very light and see-through!
I will wear this top a lot more when summer comes, to pair with some short shorts!

I bought this for my little 16 year old sister and she loves it! It is a really light weight cute little top for summer. I bought her the charcoal and it looks just like the picture. The fit is true to size I bought the size small and it fits nicely. If you want it a little tighter and not so baggy size down. The back is adorable and looks good with a little bandeau. My sister is 36B and 130lbs.

Adorable ruffle and cute top overall, but the fit is very boxy and does nothing for my figure. I bought the XS hoping that it would make for a more fitted fit, but I may as well have gotten a M because it is huge (I usually wear a S and am a 34D). The proportions are just all wrong, it is almost twice as wide as it is long. I loved the crinkly material , open back, and ruffle hem- but not enough to keep this top. Returning promptly!
FYI - I am 5'5", 120 lbs.
