There is so much to love about this top. It can be sexy in a demure or a dramatic way, the texture is soft and great for layering, the shoulder details make narrow shoulders appear wider - it's just great. My only (small) complaints are that this top is not very versatile - how many places can you wear a sheer top? - and that it gets warm fast. I have yet to find a cami thin enough to wear underneath it. If I can find one, then I would say that this top is appropriate for a day to night look.

I first purchased this in Rust, in both medium and large to see what would fit more appropriately (some FP lace tops have a lot of stretch, others don't). The large definitely fit better, and was quite snug; medium was impossibly small. When I saw that the top now came in a beautiful silver blue, I ordered it in a large expecting the same fit. NOT AT ALL. This feels like it could be a medium, possibly even a small with the wrong label attached to it! I could barely get this over my head, and it wouldn't go up my arms at all (I could even hear the lace beginning to tear under the pressure). Needless to say I am super disappointed because I love the color of my second purchase, but there is no way I can wear it. The sizing is dramatically inconsistent between individual garments.

This shirt is made of a beautiful sturdy lace. It fits true to size. The light pink is VERY light, more white than pink, but it's still a lovely color. However, as has become an increasing problem with Free People purchases, the sewing is off. On one arm, the crisscrossed shoulder lays totally flat. On the other arm, a couple of individual straps are proportionally too long, and as a result bend upwards. Have not yet decided if I will return or attempt to fix on my own.

This shirt is just lovely, providing contrasting textures when layering or beautiful just on its own.
The embroidery is very intricate. The "ballet" colorway is really more an off-white.
