It is really comfortable gauzy material , very lightweight, it doesn't have that pleating in the front on top like in the picture, maybe it's just mine...but for the price again it is so comfortable and easy to pack... I have the very old vintage versions of this and they tear easily and are so fragile so it's nice to have this one that is new material. Sizing is accurate.
Free People People order more of this style - they are great (especially black ones that go with everything)

I think this dress is more suitable as a beach cover up than anything else. I purchased it in the medium and found it huge! I am 5'5" and usually run about an 8. Two things to think about when purchasing this dress: 1. It is very transparent, so I recommend layering it if you are going to be somewhere breezy. 2. There are little bells that dangle from the neckline tassels-- they jingle constantly, which was cute at first, but now I feel like a kitten toy. Overall, I think the material could be better for the price point. It is super comfy and flowy, but bunches strangely when I try to belt it at my natural waist and/or hipline for a drop-waist effect. The long and short: I adore the gauzy material, but wish there was less yardage to belt. Still deciding whether or not to return.

I had thought I'd mentally recorded the sale price at around 40, and I was going to give it 5 stars if it weren't for my bad memory getting its comeuppance . That said, this is definitely not worth the original price, is kind of worth the sale price, but I guess delusions of grandeur were hoping I had paid slightly less for what it is. Howeverrrrr, I do love it. It's thin; great for summer and mild winter days in Tx. A beige or light grey bra will do but wear a slip. It would definitely make a great maternity dress for all of you expecting galls, but with a belt, it returns to being a year-round gig. Putting a belt on the hips was a bad idea but higher up on the waist was very cute. I'm normally a M, sometimes a S. Got the small, and it fit like it should have.

I love this dress/tunic. It's long on me, so I guess it's more of a dress for me. I wear it belted with leggings and tall Frye boots. It's winter here but I would wear this in all seasons. I really love everything about it: the light gauzy cotton fabric with all those beautiful Indian type designs, the length for me (approx. an inch below my knee#, the style and versatility of dress, the front opening which is not too low provides a nice neckline, the color â black and off-white ##true colors shown on pics#, and of course so comfy! There are gathers or small pleats just above my chest which continues on the same level towards the back. I like this feature, but am aware that others may not like it due to the mu-mu effect if unbelted. I bought an xs and am consistently an xs in fp clothing #5'5", 106lbs). I think it's tts (but roomy due to the style of dress. Oh I cut off the little bells because it jingled too much, as another reviewer mentioned. Still one of my fp favorites thoughâ¦especially for the sales price on boxing day!

I had one of these at university and loved it. This is a lovely soft cotton dress that needs to be belted and styled. I have a great soft black leather waist belt and some summer open boots in black. Teamed with silver/gold bangle stack (the tassles are gold) and matching earrings and I have a modern swing on my fav 80's look. The dress does run big though. I bought the small and it is quite roomy.

I was hoping to wear this in the fall/spring as a tunic with leggings; and a dress or beach coverup in summer. Not going to happen. The fabric is nice and I do like the pattern. But the gathered line of where the billowy fabric starts (on the bust) was a bit awkward and not like on the model. It was sitting right on my bust line. Maybe I could have sized down, but not worth it because the volume of the dress is just enormous! It would make a great 9 months pregnant-in-the summer dress. I tried a few belts to tame the volume and it just added pounds to my waistline and hips. Sigh. For reference I am 6', 145lb. and 34B. I got the M. I do have hips (pear shaped) but overall am slim, so this was disappointing. I'm a big fan of FP and find the clothes I wear constantly get compliments when it works. For me this one did not.

I tried this on in the store in the small and it fit more TTS than most FP dresses; hung just a little flouncy as it's meant to be. It was beautiful but I personally don't care to deal w/the gathered/fitted waist because I'm constantly pulling it down from my waist line, so I went w/the voile and lace trapeze dress instead. But this is a well made, high quality tunic that I would highly recommend. Looks even better w/a belt.
