"So, unlike the model, I'm 5'3"...fortunately it's a raw hem, so you can just cut it without having to sew it back up. I almost think the dress is more dramatic on a shorter person, because there is more of the train effect. I like to tie knots in the front to exaggerate the hi-lo effect and get some of the extra fabric out of the way. Platforms shoes help, too! It's the perfect casual-to-dressy maxi dress for summer, and will easily transition into fall."

Don't worry about the Length!

"Don't worry about the length! I usually get a xs or s in fb, but they only had a medium so i took a chance. It's just fine-- long, but nothing a pair of scissors didn't fix! There is not a finished hem, so I cut it a bit and then tied a few knots along the back. Really cute. I wear a layer underneath, which I would undoubtedly do regardless of size. I wear this one a lot. :)"

"I was so excited when I finally got my dress in the mail! I had no idea what it would look like on me because maxi dresses are always hit or miss on me for one reason or another, and I didn't try this on in-store, but this dress far exceeded my expectations! The fabric is light but not so sheer that a slip is required underneath it, and there are yards of flowy fabric that are just beautiful when the wind blows. Like the other reviewers said, this dress is long. I am 5' 4" but have a romantic obsession with the idea of a dress that touches the floor. To wear in public I will tie a cute knot at the hip and wear a shoe that has a heel or platform of some sort, but when I wear it around the house I will curl up in it's length. I'm so happy I bought it and wish that this dress came in other colors!"

"I love this dress.
I'm 5'8", 125 lbs, and a 34B, and I ordered an XS, and it fit perfectly. I usually wear a Small, but I'm glad i sized down, because the XS is still pretty loose. Which is a plus, because it drapes beautifully. The train in the back is probably my favorite part, and since i LOVE wearing huge heels, I dont mind it, and I dont have to hem it. the fabric is very soft, and very comfortable. I will be wearing this spring, summer, fall and winter! Very easy to dress up or down, or bundle up for winter, or just wear plain for summer. It is pretty long, so for shorter people, hemming is probably a good idea. The grey and black stripes are subtle, so it does not make the wearer appear larger because of the horizontal lines. Its flattering, beautiful, and probably my favorite maxi dress that I own."

"Loving this maxi! The fabric is amazing. It's super soft and the crinkles in it are very fun. It does run super long in the back (I am 5'5") but I will be experimenting with "knots" before I decide to trim it. This dress is such a good basic, and a good layering piece. It's got a nice a-line shape to it, which is perfect if you have curves. I purchased the M and the fit is nice, I would say it does run a little big."
