It definitely needs a slip and I'd be interested to know what other buyers have used. I think it does run a little large, not an issue for me, because it wouldn't look right too tight. 5.3.2012

Rated 3 out of 5Â by astroud83 A little nightgownish I really wanted to love this one... really I did. I had been eyeing it for quite a long time and then I took the plunge. I ordered a small and my normal choice is a medium, but that was not available. However even the small just hung loosely. Also the color was more like straw and in a lot of ways it was about as flowy as straw. You do need a slip, but that was no problem. Overall I had to return it... just wasn't for me. Hope it goes to a happy home. 3.28.2012

I was comfy all day in a full length bodycon slip (need deep V's or deep u's front and back), the Suede (motorcycle) Jacket in Cognac and boots. Also wore it with the Gypsy Buttondown Longsleeve Top in Ivory and with the Traveler Denim Jacket (any crop denim). The one (Size S) that I bought fits as follows: Length from shoulder 58 &1/2" Hem 60" circumference Waist 36" circumference Chest (at underarm) 36" circumference Shoulder 6" from neck to start of lace "V" is 10" from shoulder seam to deepest part, both front and back. 2.13.2012

Originally I liked the whiter look in the picture, but it has since grown on me. Computer screen doesn't do it justice. The lace in the middle is more creme than white. 1.26.2012

I can imagine dressing it up with a gorgeous pair of heels, or more casual with boots like the model. It is sheer and a full length slip required. Very feminine and head turning. If you are debating purchasing this dress, do, you won't regret it. A total investment. 12.6.2011

I bought the dress in Medium which worked for me (I'm 5'7", 38:28:40) and the Medium was a good fit for me. I wore it to my son's school program and received compliments from a dozen people, some of which were strangers. I wore it out to lunch and strangers walked up to ask me where I bought the dress. It truly is stunning! I purchased a fitted nude colored slip to wear underneath, which works well as it shows off the crochet work much better than if the slip was white. The fabric is not as delicate as it looks online, but is still worth the expense. The dress however was really long. I am 5'3, around 120 lbs and the XS was too big. It was loose in the midsection and came a couple of inches past my toes, even with boots. The dress does not have a lining, but a slip of any type works great! I recommend this to anyone tall, but for us little people not so much. 10.11.2011
