"I love this dress so much that I ignored all the reviews and decided to purchase it anyway. For the sale price, I find this a steal! It is a bit itchy, but not cheap. That is simply the way this material feels, no matter what the quality or brand. My mom has worked in cleaners and in alterations her whole life and she told me that with a few washes it will start to feel much better. If it is that bad, you can always wear a slip! I think it is totally worth it!!! Sometimes you have to ignore the reviews and just see for yourself! It is a bit roomy. I'm usually a size 5/6 and I ordered the 4 and it was still loose on me."
"I decided to give this dress a try because I loved the look of it in the catalogue. As some have mentioned, it is quite short, but I liked the look of it over leggings and wanted to keep it. However, the fabric was so irritating to my upper arms that I just couldn't wear it and returned it to one of the FP shops. Too bad, because the fabric had a fun look, and I loved the color. I notice that FP has been using more synthetic fabrics lately and I hope that this does not become a major trend for them. I am not a fan of synthetics, and in the past have admired the cloth quality that FP uses."
"I bought this in a size 0 on sale. I'm 5'1'' and 115 pounds, and I thought it might have been too small, but to my surprise it was actually extremely loose in the back and armpit. It's the perfect length for me, halfway down to my knees, but it's probably incredibly short for anyone just a couple inches taller.
I love the color and design. The fabric is cheap and the edges are frayed, and some of the black stuff comes off. If I'd bought this for the original price, I would not be happy. However, it's a cute dress and a good value for the sale price.
It does need to be belted for sure. Otherwise it's just not flattering. Also, under armpits the material poofs out and it can get itchy there and also in the back. I for one don't mind but it can be irritating.
I love wearing this dress, it's not the finest quality by any means but it's cute and easy to wear!"
"I am surprised that none of the other reviewers really harp on how short this dress is. I put it on and you could see my hoohaa clear as day and the bottom of my bum. I got a size 0, and even though I'm 5'8", dresses aren't usually too short for me. And what's more, I usually LOVE short dresses, but this wasn't just short, this was like going out in public with only a shirt on. It was just shocking; I measured it, and my size 0 measured 29 inches from shoulder to hem. That is not an appropriate length for a dress! I may have gotten a freak, though. I tried it on with different pants to try and make it work as a tunic, but this dress just does not work as a top. It is very swingy and fluid and with its baby doll cut, it really just looked stupid with pants. Also, the fabric itches like heck. It scratches around the armpits and the neckline, which I would have found intolerable even if this dress fit like an actual dress. Anyway, I guess aesthetically it's really pretty, but it is just too scratchy and WAY too short to keep."
"I bought this in the maroon color and when I put it on I didn't like it at all. The material has a weird texture to it that makes it feel really cheap. Also the zipper that shows in the back looks super tacky. I had to send it back. The color looks just like the picture. It felt pretty true to size I usually wear a size 6 and thats what I bought but it was a little roomy around my chest. I am 34B 5'4'' and 130lbs."
"This is a beautiful dress made of good quality and the sangria color complements my pale skin. If you're big chested, you should size down otherwise you're breasts will have too much room in the top. The shortness of the dress is not an issue for me since I'm only 5ft and it only an inch or two above my knees. I usually pair this with back tights and a black sash tied in the back with a bow from American Apparel and it's perfect! :)"
"This dress is exactly in person as it is pictured! The shimmer stripes aren't as rough as said in some of the reviews, and velvet glimmers in the most beautiful way. I'm 5'4, 112 lbs, and a 34 C, and I got a 2 in the blue and it was a tad roomy, but it runs a little short so a 0 would have been too short. You definitely need to wear tights in the picture because it is short, but this is without a doubt one of the most spectacular dresses I have bought from Free People."
"This dress has so much potential.. but unfortunatelythe way it puffs out around the bust looks very strange if you have a large bust. Not sure if it would work for woman with smaller busts. Otherwise the material is nice, colors are pretty."
