These comfortable, button-fly shorts are made of rigid denim, 100% cotton according to the label on my pair (which diffrers from the FP website content information) , so they have a bit of give, but no real stretch to speak of. They do run true to size and aren't especially oversized or baggy, but they have a boyfriend fit, and as another reviewer mentioned, the crotch is roomy, like a boy's pair of shorts would be, to accomodate a boy's anatomy, if you know what I mean. I bought my usual size and they fit like in the photos; I would go up a size for a baggier fit. My pair--in 'Ever Wash'--had a very slight 'dirty-look' dyed/stained finish to it in places that wasn't apparent in the photos here. It didn't bother me because these obviously aren't dressy shorts, but if you aren't a fan of that wash it's helpful to know it's there, even if it is subtle. 4.6.2013

Rated 3 out of 5Â by gabfab typical shorts these are nice, typical boyfriend shorts. they're mid-length. my main dislike about these is that the crotch seemed a little long and they make my butt look a little flat, but it's not enough to return them. they will be good summer shorts. i'm an 8 or 10 on bottom and ordered a size 30... they fit TTS. 2.16.2013
