I'm a size 8/10. Average build. I usually wear a medium in everything, but this looked "slender-made" so I ordered a size up because I wanted it to be a bit loose. It was too big in every way. BUT, even if I ordered a size or two smaller I thought the construction was so flimsy that it wouldn't have looked good anyway. It didn't have the weight to hang well. I feel like it would always look wrinkled in a bad way. The lace was incorporated very well and blended successfully. Overall, the color was a dull warm grey and not as sharp or interesting as the photos. It looked frumpy. Like Mary Poppins.

Got the size 2, 5'4", 32A chest, shoulders a bit athletic. I usually wear a 0, but wanted a loose look. The 2 fits well, actually. The arms/arm holes are cut small for a neat look, and are a bit too long, maybe by an inch, for me. The fabric is a faded medium dark gray plaid, and the lace a dark charcoal. (The fabric lighter than the pic, the lace, ash dark grey, rather than black) The lace is soft and dense in pattern. The fabric has the texture of very soft washed thin denim. Fabric doesn't have a lot of weight or drape. Nor is it too thin..but not a practical sort of jacket. It's a jacket if you want a certain 'look'. I would wear black bottoms, unless you want to call attention to your rear. It hits me slightly below knee. Now, this is a cool jacket. But I can see I have to be careful where I sit, due to the lace!...the lace is raw edged at the bottom. Inside, the seams are well finished. My bf said it was good looking, but looked like it wouldn't last long, in terms of fabric and construction (not an everyday jacket)..and it looked like a 'costume'. Yes, it looks like a soft vintage grunge style...or with cowboy boots, a vintage funky duster..bf asked for the price, and I wouldn't tell him...maybe a bit too much for what it is, and how long it will last (what if the lace on the bum tears?) but it is unique, and surprisingly well tailored. A nice end of summer sort of jacket?
