Rated 1 out of 5Â by stefanieosofsky gorgeous pant, terrible fit.
I received these pants for my birthday after drooling over them for months. I am normally a size 2/4, [slim with some junk in the trunk] but based on a previous order from FP where a 28 way too big (went by the size the model is wearing in the photo, supposedly), I was gifted a 27.
These pants are every bit as incredible in person as they appear in the picture, however, the fit is terrible.
The size 27 was incredibly long, I'd easily have to cut 6 inches off, but I can live with that. They were huge in the waist but incredibly tight in the thigh and bum. I wore them out once to see if they'd stretch and they didn't budge. I sent them back for a size 28.
The 28 is even bigger in the waist, obviously, and fits exactly the same everywhere else. It somehow runs small and large at the same time.
I've ordered another pair of jeans from FP before, the Extreme Vintage Flair, and had the same issue. What's up with the jeans, FP?!?!?!
I am so torn over these pants because they are so beautiful, but they are not comfortable to wear, as a great pair of jeans should be. I can't decide whether to keep them despite the fit, or send them back because of the fit!
To keep the jeans, or not to keep the jeans. That is the question!

Have these in the Maleya wash and they fit true to size. Loved them so much, I ordered them in the black wash, which ran at least 2 sizes too small (but gorgeous.) Iconic boho flair in flares ;-)

these are great, but i recommend you go into a store and hand pick the pair you buy. the print is smudgey or uneven on some pairs, and if you order online, there is no way to know what you'll get. also, size up. i am normally a 25 in designer jeans, a 26 in FP jeans, and i had to get a 27 in these.

There's nothing bad about these jeans, everything good! I get so many compliments and I wear them all the time because they make me feel so good!
Don't hesitate, buy them!

I absolutely love these jeans and have been looking for a wide leg patterned pant. I think these pants are so fun but after ordering them online the fit is pretty much impossible. They are ridiculously too long and really tight in the crotch area. I'm 5'8", busty but lacking in the derriere and size 30 was not a practical fit. I'm not sure if I'm going to return these or try to exchange them for another size now that they are back in stock, but I really hope they work out the dimensions a bit better in the future!

I got these in the orange/brown color. I'm only 5' tall, so I was nervous about the length, but I was able to cut off the bottoms just to where the pattern ends and they fit perfectly :) The waist size is perfect, sometimes Free People pants seem to run a little tight..and basically, I love them :)

I bought these in black and in blue, and although both were size 24, the black one barely fit around my thighs while the blue fit perfectly. I'm exchanging the black for a size 25. Other than that, I think these are great. They are very flattering and actually pretty comfortable. They do run long - I'm 5'2 and they will have to be hemmed a few inches, but it seems like you can cut them yourself, since the ends are frayed rather than hemmed.

I'd been eyeing these for a while. I even visited a FP store to ensure a safer purchase, but the nearest locations(s) didn't have these in stock. I finally broke down and bought them online - was super excited to say the least. Upon putting them on, one of the metal buttons (more for aesthetic purposes) fell off. Also, I understand that each pair is different from the next, and these pants do represent the notion that there is perfection in imperfection. But the imperfections that existed in the bottom portion of the right leg made me feel like I wasted my money. I could have lived with the rogue streak, but there were other flaws on the leg that looked more like a laundry accident, and someone (either the person who made the pants or someone who owned them before me) tried to cover it up with matching fabric paint...and did a sloppy job. These shouldn't have even been on the stock shelf. If I hadn't bought them, it would have been someone else's problem. The overall design is great, the fit is great, but I bought the only 28 available - who knows if they'll be restocked. I just ordered the 27. If they're aren't too tight and fit the bill of quality, I'll give this a 4 stars, one star off for the hassle. If not, I'll settle for the flawed 28 pair and very begrudgingly attempt to use my own crafting skills to fix up a $128 pair of pants.
