I am 5'9" with an hourglass frame and usually a pants size 9-11 and dress size med-lg. I bought this dress in black/medium and it fits perfectly! Especially if you have a long torso/are tall this is the dress for you. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable.

I was a bit hesitant buying this dress online after reading the first review, especially since it is pricey! However, I liked it so much, I decided to take a punt and I must say it has mostly paid off! It is true that you need a longish torso, and it would help to be wider in your upper back, but you do not need model proportions for this dress to work. For reference, I am 5' 4", 112lbs, 34C and normally take a size 0 or XS in FP stuff. The XS in this fits me pretty well - I'll need to wear about 2 inch sandals but I'll most probably have it taken up. More importantly, there are no gaping holes in the back and I do not have a particularly long torso. There are slight gaps where the waist dips in, but if you look closely, it is the same as both models featured. So, if you are shorter than 5'4" and do not have a short torso (in proportion to your legs) you should not have gaping holes in the back and can get away with wearing high-heel sandals with this dress (or simply have it taken up!) It truly is a unique take on the beach/summer maxi and definitely a man-catcher...oops, dreamcatcher I mean:) For colder or more demure days, you could pair it with the open stitch cardi (also available in black or white), so that the whole open back effect is not totally lost.

The dress is very pretty...the lace is typical Jen's lace. It's a nice weight and quality lace. the style is cute too. However, in order for the back to lay flat, as seen on the model, you have to have a certain torso length. Otherwise the gaping hole in the back extends below the back and your butt shows!!!! I am small, and I don't truly know how long you must be to fill this up. I think it takes a particular body type for this dress to work......long torso and tall, not long legs and tall.
