"so, normally i am a size small (4-6, 132lbs, 5'6", slim arms but by no means tiny). in free people, i have usually sized up to medium. so when i read reviews saying "size up", in free people terms, this meant i should go with a large. not so. the large was huuuuge. sleeves were way long. super baggy everywhere. not flattering at all. (i used to be a 10-12, and the large would fit a 10-12 certainly.) i did not witness the "sleeves are way too tight" thing many people are commenting on, at all. i returned the L black for a M white and S black. the M fit pretty well. i could've lived with it. but then i tried on the S, and it fit perfect. i love it, it looks so glamorous and fitted and wonderful. i bought a velvet secondhand dress to go on top of it. i feel super Mary Crawley in it. MY ADVICE: stick to your regular size in this case. for most free people items? no. with this one? absolutely."

"This top is simply gorgeous. I ordered a size up based on the other reviews and was glad I did. The body runs true to size but the arms run slightly snug. But, with how sheer it is, I like to have it a bit loose around my pot.
I ordered the black and with a cami under it, I feel 100% sexy. Oh, and the hubs thinks so, too!"

"I got this top and loved it! this is my first review so I'll try not to be critical.
I will give this top a four start because it does not say on the description that it is sheer, the model is actually wearing a cami underneath the top to give it a complete finish so bear this in mind when purchasing."

"this top is absolutely Beautiful, however the sleeves are extremely narrow. I was able to wear it because it was too tight on my arms. too bad. I loved it, but I ended up giving it to a friend who has very thin arms and normally wears an XS or a S, I ordered in the large and it fit her."

"I love this top!Especially in black! I also got it in Shell which I would consider more of an antique tea colour(very nice)
I got the large because I wasn't sure about sizing and I'm usually a medium in FP and they fit great .The sleeves are nice and long!
So excited to wear these!!!"

"Grab this up in other colors while it is on sale! I got the white and immediatekly ordered the black one. It does fit true to size, so if you want it loose, size up and tighter, size down. I wanted a more drapey look, so I got a large and it is doing exactly what I want - draping! I am 5'6", 125, 36B. So pretty, so interesting and very elegant looking. Over a cami, or over anything sleeveless - awesome."

"It's a great piece to have if you are the one to layer. However, it is very very delicate so be careful not to snag the fabric. I like the top, however, I ordered a small and the sleeves reach the knuckles of my fingers. It's a little bigger than I anticipated. But it has a beautiful detail and for 20.00, you can beat that."
