Embroidered Raw Chiffon Skirt
Color is different than web picture, runs small
I was really excited to receive this skirt in the mail because it's so cute, but I was really disappointed when it arrived. First off, the color (peony) is much more of a peachy-pink and a little bit brighter than the website picture shows. It is still a pretty color, I was just expecting more of a true pink.
Also, (the deal-breaker for me), the size 12 runs really small. It "fits", well, more accurately "zips up" if I wear it very high-waisted, but then it's inappropriately and unwearably short. It seriously feels more like a slightly high-waisted 8 or even possibly a lower-waisted 6. I usually wear a 10 in skirts, but this is my 2nd size 12 zip-up Free People skirt that has run small like this. So, for now I guess i'll have to wait for Free People to come out with a skirt I like in 12 that people says runs big or has a stretchy waist. It just doesn't make sense to me because I wear a medium in all except one of the FP tops I own, and my bottom half is in proportion with my top half. Anyways, this is going to my sister or getting returned :(
If you have the opportunity to try this on in-store, definitely try it on before buying.
Oh, one more thing-this skirt is definitely very delicate. I'd probably consider reinforcing the hems on the tiers if I was keeping it. Definitely hand-wash this carefully in cold water.
This skirt is very cute it reminds me of a little ballet skirt. It is true to size, I got a size 6 and it was perfect. I am 130 lbs. and I am a true size 6.
Subtle and sexy
Love the peachy color. It's not too short or shear. Has a soft feminine look.
