Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I was actually surprised by how much I really loved this dress. I'm usually not into lace but when this came out in the catalog in red, I was really drawn to it. I debated between red and antique for a while. The red is what really drew my attention but red lace can look tacky so I decided to go with the antique size 2. I'm 5'4", 34C, 26" waist. The 2 was beautiful and was softer than I anticipated. I decided to order a 0 just to see the fit difference. I usually prefer things to be a little more fitted at the waist so with most FP clothes, if it's loose and flowy I find a 0 works best for my style, if it's fitted I go with a 2. The 0 was perfect for how I wanted it to fit. It still has a little room at the waist to keep it flowy but gives a bit more definition than the 2 did. There was little difference in the fit of the sleeves between the two sizes (sometimes sizing down results in tight sleeves), and lenght was fine regardless of the size. Probably the only part that was a little tighter on the 0 was the neck and bust, but not so much that it changed the fit significantly. I decided to keep the 0 and ordered the red as well (which I'm glad to say does not look trashy at all :). In general though, I think either size would have worked. The 2 had just a little bit more room everywhere but it was still cute and had I never decided to try the 0, I think I still would have loved the 2. Great dress. I highly recommend even if you're not a lace girl. 9.4.2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous I own several Free People dresses, and this is by far the most gorgeous, flattering piece. Fit is true to size--i usually wear 6 and it was perfect, but has some room & stretch in the body so I can move easily. And for once, this dress is long enough for girls 5' 7'' or taller! 7.11.2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Such a special, gorgeous color I got this dress in the mint, and it's even more beautiful in person. Just the right amount of pigment to be able to tell that it is a shade of green, but light and delicate. Got the 0, I"m 5 ft tall, 105 pounds and fits tts. The lace fabric is so soft. Highly recommend. The mint is perfect for casual - I'm thinking about getting the black as well for dressier nights out. 7.20.2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful! I received this dress today (I ordered the scuba blue colourway) and I absolutely love it! In person the colour isn't as bright and is slightly darker which I love; it is more of a darker periwinkle. I am 5,7 with a 34 D chest and I have wide hips but a smaller waist. I ordered the size 10 even thought I would usually choose an 8 as I didn't think the dress had a side zip - which it does and is not mentioned in the description. Despite sizing up it fits really well with a little room in the arms and the middle; like the fit on the model. I also fell in love with the "Opulence Belt" which is shown in the picture and they make the perfect pair! Can't wait to order another colour of this dress! 1.11.2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice design but... The dress is nice and the color is gorgeous ...however there is some problem with the quality. The stitches come out at the waist line right in the middle of the front! It affects the shape of the dress when I wear it.......I like the design of the dress but this is not acceptable for a dress over $ sadly, I have to return it, and I have to pay the extra international postage fee to send it back...Such a disappointment.... :( 10.30.2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect For A Hot Night In NYC Last Thursday was a scorcher, and I had a white party event to attend for Pencils of Promise in NYC. This dress was elegant yet kept me cool. It is also on trend wIth its nods to old school glamour: lace overlay detail and three quarter sleeves. This dress is perfectly Gatsby. Another way to wear this dress is to pair it with a nude wedge and some stellar statement earrings. The dress is very versatile. The fit was good I fit in both the size 0, and 2 but chose the 2 because I felt it draped longer. I am 5'9" so sometimes finding the perfect cocktail dress is difficult. I promise if you purchase this dress you'll love it. Enjoy. 5.31.2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by I don't know I'm not exactly sure what to say. I think that if you've a short torso this dress does not flatter you in the right ways and you should consider not purchasing it. I purchased the plum and when I wore it I felt I looked much heavier than on a normal basis. Not to mention I found the plum to appear cheap looking. The black is lovely, a friend of mine has that. If you're busty and have a slightly shorter torso, I wouldn't recommend. 4.24.2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great dress! I bought this dress in the new dusty berry color to wear to a wedding. It definitely runs large; I am 5'8", about 135lbs and a 6 was very loose on me. I exchanged for a 4 and it fits perfect: a little bit of room, but not baggy. I also love the length. At it's shortest point it sits just a few inches above my knees. As a taller girl this is a real plus! The fabric is also well made and very soft. Overall, LOVE this dress! It is definitely worth picking up! 4.17.2013
