I love the look of this skirt on the model, everything I think makes for a fun skirt with the jagged hem and flowing lines, I love the hue of red. However when I received the skirt, it was definitely made for a very tall woman. Granted I am short at 5'4", but the hanging tendrils were dragging on the ground even pulled up for the alternative tube dress option. I saw no option for shortening the skirt as I have done with other maxi skirts to fit my shorter frame. Alas, it had to go back, not because I didn't love it but because it is not compatible with shortness.

(5'3",109 lbs, 32b-24-37)- Ordered XS, Charcoal: Looks almost like a brown more than a charcoal. When I wear it as a skirt, their are 4 pieces that touch the ground. Two in the front, two in the back. Just like the photo's. If I wear heels or platforms they don't. The elastic band is loose and wrinkly when it is at the hips. Like another reviewer mentioned, if I pull the skirt down lower to combat the issue, the 4 long tendrils start to grace the floor. Without heels, they are dragging on the floor. When I wear the skirt pulled up as a dress, I fear it will fall down because of the weight of the fabric that swings below from around the elastic band. Maybe I don't have large enough breasts to hold it up? I have A+/B- cups. (I will try securing the dress up by safety pinning the top of the waist band to a strapless bra, like i've done with other strapless shirts/ dresses...) With the 4 extra long pieces, I will bustle them up and sew my draping selection in place. Another reviewer commented that she cut at the bottom hemline to make the long sections shorter. She got the guts to do this because the fabric is not a formal folded over hem. It's open with some strings fraying away. This is a good idea because the extra fabric you cut could be used to make a matching halter strap to keep it up, when wearing it as a dress. One could even make the strap removable: putting small buttons on the inside of the waistband and button holes in the scrap fabric. Or even tiny silver round snap buttons or hook and eye closures, like on your bra. If you choose to cut at the hem line, just be careful, because if you look closely, there is an invisible seam to keep the fabric from fraying away. Be sure to re-sew it, or your skirt will unravel over time. The skirt over all is flow-y and has a costume look to it. Breathable material... akin to a thin linen, but it's rayon instead. Which is probably why it's so soft.

The skirt really was not as long as I thought it might be. It is comfortable and can be dressed up or wore with sandals. I am happy with the skirt. Not my favorite but I will wear it. Better than tight binding shorts.Oh yes, I usually order small but I got a small in this and it fits great and length too.

This skirt has become one of my staples (bought it in the charcol colour). I am 5'9" and 145lbs and the size medium fits me perfectly. I have very long legs (36" inseam) so this skirt is a great length on me. I have to be careful not to step on it when going up stairs etc but I love it. I can't see this being good for anyone who isn't tall as they would be tripping over it. The layers are so pretty and with a short pair of boots, the look is perfect. The only reason I didn't get it 5 stars is due to the unfinished edges becoming stringy when washed but there really is no way around that, it is just a pain to cut the strings off. I am thinking I need the red colour next!!

This is a great skirt -- can't wait to wear it. It is super soft and thin - I'm debating if I need some type of slip underneath. When worn as a skirt, the long part does sit on the ground - ALOT -- I like it much better as a skirt than a dress so I'm thinking about having it hemmed. Runs very large -- I am normally a large in just about everything but a medium fit great.

I'm almost 6 feet tall and worn as a skirt I am tripping on the bottom! There are three very long pieces that will kill me if I ride an escalator in it. I don't recommend a pointy heel either but a wedge could probably work. I normally like to wear flat boots with this kind of look though, but I'll figure something out. It's gorgeous! The top section IMO is too small to wear over the chest as a dress, unless you are small chested but then it might not stay up.

Ordered this in the dark grey color and it's such a unique piece! I love the uneven hem and the tiny bit of contrast in the material with the striped bits sewn in. (Though I will say the striped pieces aren't super noticeable.) I do wish there was a few more inches of elastic area at the top - I am large chested and there's not quite as much coverage as I'd like - it hangs off my chest instead of having enough elastic to create more of a fitted look under my bust. Still, it's workable! I would say it might run just a bit large. I usually take a small in FP so ordered a S and it fits my chest nicely without being tight, but when pulled down as a skirt it's just a bit loose at the waist unless I pull it further down on my hips. That would normally be ok, but with this piece some of the areas are so long that it drags on the ground even with substantial heels! Overall nice material and quality for a great price!

I just received this dress/skirt in the mail yesterday. I absolutely love it! I am 5'8" with a lean build. Even on me I have to wear some high-heels to avoid it dragging as a skirt, but as a dress it's fabulous! It is made so well/great material. I find that everything runs large at FP, I usually wear a small anywhere else, but here I have to get an XS.. overall a fabulous buy!
