Soft, comfy...but not as pictured..hmm..
8.8.2011-
"As most of the other reviewers said, I liked the first version of these that appeared on the web with the extreme distressing and the crochet pockets hanging out the legs. They also are much more of a "mini" short where as the first pair looked baggy and more of a boy short. As stated, the pockets aren't long enough to be seen, unless of course your distressing rips further, then maybe. As another reviewer said "what's the point of having cool pockets if you can't see them?" . The extra fabric raises the price to $68 (as compared to the $58 usually for the shorts). It is weird since you can't even see it especially in the waistband? They fit a lil looser then usual FP shorts but def not enough to size down. They def aren't much looser in the waist, more in the overall body of the short. A positive is that they are soooo soft and comfy. Def have a feel of "vintage" shorts. I am still not sure if I want to keep them. They are really just another pair of black denim shorts. I purchased the Vegan shorts, which have a similar look with the zipper pockets and all. So I may return these, but the comfort is telling me not to! They should totally re issue this with the original idea in mind!! So many people would buy them!"

Cute Crochet Cut-offs
7.11.2011-
"I sized down one size in these cut-offs based on reviews, and even so, they are just a dash loose. I wouldn't want to size down one more though since they are high rise and I would rather have them a dash too loose than too tight. Besides, they are very comfortable and look good anyway. I wear most of my shirts out, so you can't really tell these shorts are high rise. As with the other reviewers, my pockets don't stick out below the shorts so you can't see the crochet detailing. My one complaint really is that the length of the inseam is definitely not three inches as written in the description of these shorts...more like two inches so they are shorter than I thought they would be. Still, all in all, I think these are cute shorts and will go with a lot of tops that I have so I think it is a good purchase."

still a great pair of cutoffs
7.11.2011-
"even though these don't look like the original pics with the protruding crochet pockets and the extreme distressing at the front, i still quite like them. i like the distressing at the hems and that the crochet peek out is subtle. so it doesn't end up being a totally unique and different pair of cutoff shorts, but they're still perfectly great. i size up because sometime fp jeans fit a little tight and i like them just a bit loose, and they fit great. your regular size would be fine as well."

"Like the other reviewer, I liked the first version of these that appeared on the web with the extreme distressing and the crochet pockets hanging out the legs. The new version is nothing special. As noted, the pockets aren't long enough to be seen. (Seriously, what's the point of having cool pockets if you can't see them? That seems like a waste of fabric. There's also crochet on the waist... weird.) Okay, so I tried these on, and I'm actually a fan of the fit, but that's because I have a long torso, so these sit on my hips. I didn't get them though, because frankly, they're just another pair of black denim shorts. You can get these anywhere, and lots of people will have them. Maybe if I felt like doing a lot of distressing myself, and somehow figuring out a way to get the pockets to hang out... But that seems like a lot of effort. Size wise, the fit is the same as the cut off denim shorts. They run about 1 size large."
