I tried these on a size up from my usual because that's what the store had, and they fit loosely (I guess in my normal size they'd be tighter), and kind of high and stiff and awkward. I like shorts with a higher rise, but these were just boxy on me. And when I tried to roll them up, they wouldn't stay. Too bad, because I love the light denim color.

I was instantly attracted to these shorts because I have been looking for a good pair of denim shorts that are not too short or too long. I tried these on in store in my normal fp denim size 26, and they were too big. They didn't have anything smaller so I ordered a 25 online. I am about 115 and 5'3. The shorts are very soft and like the other reviews said they are vintagey and are slightly more worn in than the pictures show. Great shorts! I am very excited to wear them this summer. Definitely order one size down though.

i love these shorts, easily one of the more comfortable pairs of shorts i've ever worn. I got them in the lighter denim and they are a bit more roughed up in person, but i really like that look. they are definitely not low-rise and fall almost just below my bellybutton, and the length is not too short, or not too long as the previous reviewer said. also, in addition to a more destroyed style than i believe is pictured, there is a little slit on either side, so it's super easy to cuff them if you want a shorter look. i did that and let the pockets peek out and it looked very cute, very vintage. definitely a steal too, since i searched all last summer for shorts like these, but the prices were way too outrageous. $68 is a good price when you get to touch the sturdy denim but feel how soft these shorts fit around your waist. i'm definitely going to wear some holes in this pair by the time summer's over.

I wasn't remotely interested in these at all. Buying "cutoff" shorts to me is ridiculous when I can just cut up an old pair of jeans! My FP got these in so I decided to try them on wit a top I was trying on just to get an idea for an outfit. I was actually pleasantly surprised and they were not flimsy and short at all. These were heavy, sturdy denim. The remind me of vintage Levis Cuttoff shorts. They are the perfect fit. A cross between shortie shorts and boyfriend. Finally a NORMAL pair of denim shorts. Everywhere you go there are teeny weeny shorts that your butt hangs out of. These are a nice classy and simple pair of shorts. They do run a a bit big. I went down a whole size in these. The are a bit larger in the waist and gap a little at the gap (at least on me). They also were a it snug in the butt area., So if you have a bigger booty you may want to think about sizing accordingly. They may stretch out but obviously I can't tell until I can actually wear them. fit wise I would compare these to "vintage fit". def not your usual low rise shorts. I actually really love these and will prob go back and get the other color. The colors are TTC and are exactly as pictured. If you want a great pair of shorts that will last def pick these baby's up!
