FP and Anthropologie's size 0's are larger than any others out there. I almost always have to get a size 0 taken in from these boutiques. Still this dress was so cute and different I decided to keep it and have it on the shelf with all the other size 0 dresses I will one day get around to taking in. It is very good quality.

a friend of mine bought this, which i was really sad about because i had had my eye on it for some time. i couldnt see why she was returning it so i tried it on. very awkward fit. i could do some tucking with it, but i'll wait for it to go on sale before i sew a 250$ dress.

I absolutely LOVE this dress. Such an unexpected and refreshing cut. I had my eye on it for a few weeks and finally got it. It is so flattering and beautifully made. The details from the buttons to the embroidery are lovely. I normally wear an XS or S or 0 or 2 and got this in an XS and it fits perfectly. I'm 5'5" and if I were wearing flats, it would feel a touch long, but I'm planning to wear with 3 inch wedge heels and the length is perfect. With the heels, it is about the same distance to the ground as the model in flats. I can understand the sentiments of the previous reviewer - I think that if you're shorter than 5'5", this dress is probably going to be too long. But, the blousy top actually is counterintuitive and totally slimming. The band across the hips actually helped flatten my belly and I don't have perfect, flat abs! The hip fit is like a body shaping undergarment. Make sure to order this size based on your hip measurements - if it's too small for your hips, I could see it pinching and being less flattering. I have 36" hips and the XS was perfect. The husband even thought this dress was so slimming and lovely! Cutest dress ever!

i'm so disappointed with this dress. i love the look from the catalog, but wasn't as convinced from the studio shots, but gave it a try anyways. it's loose on top, and totally body-hugging around the hips. you can tell from the studio pics, and i'm sure the model is tall and skinny, but it still makes her hip look wide, and pulls right at the hips where the buttons are. so if you have any tummy at all, this dress will put focus on it and make the hip area look extra wide. it's also quite long on me. i'm 5'3" and the back bottom basically graces the floor. the dress is also very heavy. i like the embroidery but the rest of the dress is a mess. it might work for someone tall and skinny.
