I've been pining over this dress online since it appeared on the home page, tonight i went into the Free People store in my town and tried it on. At first i was unsure because i have an extremely small bust (32A) but when an associate gave me a brown leather skinny belt to put on with it, it was like magic! Since the skirt of the dress is very full the dress just sort of hangs on the body and you loose your shape drowning in the fabric. But the belt totally fixed that and made the bust area look natural by breaking up the torso and also gave me my hips back. It hits me just above my shins (im 5'9") so i can see why shorter girls have an issue with the length, but it was perfect for me as it is longer in the back, but not by much. It makes you feel very romantic and girly. Im going to pair it a pair of lace up black boots and a black faux leather moto jacket to get that bohemian rocker chic look. Its great as i have a really long thin legs but big bottom and birthing hips but a very small waist and small cheast, somehow the dress make me look proportional instead of bottom heavy like most maxi dresses do. Im super excited about my new purchase!

I absolutely love this dress!!! It's as beautiful as it looks in the picture!! The quality of the fabric is equally wonderful. I couldn't wait to wear it (I live in CT) so I wore it with a little short sweater and gray boots! I felt like a bouquet of flowers in the dead of winter!! Can't wait for Spring!! An absolute MUST HAVE!!!

I love this dress! I am 5'1 in height 115 pounds and a bust size of 34A. This dress hits at my ankles. I have a small bust size so I am not having problems with the fit up top. It fits exactly like the Model. I ordered this dress in the x-small. I agree with the remarks about the side straps. I am going to cut them and sew them back for the perfect fit (I am only doing this because the dress is truly beautiful ). The material is great and flows so beautiful! I wore it on a breezy day here in So.California and it's flow in the wind was goregous! The colors are not over powering. I bought the dress in the color ivory. Give it a try!

I loved this dress in the catalog, but just tried it on and it's a big disappointment. Totally boxy shape, disproportionately large bust area and not long enough. I tried on an xs and I am 5'9" 125lb 32B and was swimming in it, but it was also too short, which made it even boxier. The print is gorgeous and the fabric is ok although a little rough.

I ordered the navy color and really love the pattern. That may be the only thing I love. I'm 5'4, athletic build. The dress is a bit long on me and does swallow me a little. Like the other reviewers, I'd have to say the straps are a bit wide and way too flimsy for the weight of the dress. There is a lot of fabric going on here. It also makes the bust part hang low and would be very awkward for people with a bigger bust. I do like the criss cross and I used the ties to kind of tie in the front or back to make look of a belt which made it work a bit better. My biggest concern is that in addition to all of these issues, the fabric of the material looks and feels similar to what Urban Renewal dresses are made of. Meaning I don't think this dress is worth the price. It's a very cute 60s style dress but I wish it was made a bit better.

I'm six months pregnant & ordered a medium a size larger than usual. With a skinny belt worn above my belly it looks pretty cute as a flowy maternity dress. The straps do fit funny. If I wasn't prego, I don't know if I would like it as much, but it works for me right now :)

This dress has a beautiful print, but it fit very poorly in the bust area.
I am 5'4'' and about 115lbs. I wear a 32D bra size, and this dress definitely did NOT work with my boobs.
No matter how tight or loose the straps were, they would not stay up, and because of the weight of the dress, when the straps fell- boobs showed.
It was also not as flattering as I would have thought.

Lengthening the straps helped a little, but then the front was way too low. The ties on the sides were such a cute detail, but they added bulk in an undesirable place. Just not a flattering dress on my 5'4" 155lb frame. I will admit it looked nice with my denim vest over top! I wish this was just a beautiful circle skirt...
