Rated 5 out of 5Â by jamie84 great for fall!
i got these in the teal (im chomping at the bit for the first day of Fall weather) and im actually REALLY surprised at how close in color they are to the picture! the real pants are just a little "dustier", not quite as crisp and clean green/teal as the pic, but for free people, i think they came much closer than they usually do. i am usually a size 28, but all my pants are super stretchy, so for these i went with a 27 cause i feel like cords arent as stretchy, they just stretch out, and then i have baggy knees and square butt for the rest of the day. so i went smaller, and the waist is pretty tight, and it gives me a little muffin, but my tailor will probably be able to take the waist out even just a little and they will be perfecto! i think if i stuck with my normal size the legs just would have been to baggy. even with the smaller size theyre not fitting me as tight as the models. theyre just an awkward cut, and to get it right i think most of us will need to shell out an extra 10 at the tailor. im putting these as true to size cause i dont know what to put! the waist is small and the rest is big! and im rating them as excellent because i really think they are! even though they require work.

I ordered the curry color, and was not pleased with what I got. In person, the curry is a strange gold color with a green tint. They remind me of a couch off "That 70s Show." As you can see in my picture, nothing like the orange/yellow color displayed in FP's picture. The green is even more prominent in person than in the picture I posted. Besides the color, they are nice and fit well.

Great pants! I got the mushroom in size 25. I wasn't sure about which size I had to order, since I'm 5,2'' 112 lb, so I took a leap. The pants fit great in my legs and they're not too long. The waist is a little bit tight, so I think an 26 should fit me better, but I read in other reviews that these pants eventually stretch. The color is exactly as it's pictured in the last photo, the quality feels great and they're comfy and soft (except for the waist part). Best purchase in a long time.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Mikalah Great pants, but not quite as pictured for me
I purchased the teal color in my usual size 28. I obviously don't have the same body that the model does, but I think in general they don't quite fit the same as what is pictured. My one gripe is that the waistband is very tight and sits pretty low, whereas the legs are much looser than what is pictured. I'd say the fit is probably much closer to the dusty rose model pics. Ultimately that's not a bad deal, but if you're looking for something more skin tight this may be an experiment of sizing, where I wouldn't necessarily say size down because of the waistband. The teal color is also a teense bit more grey than I was expecting. Overall though, great pants, and I got the entire outfit pictured with the teal =)

These are awesome pants that I really feel like will fit a variety of body shapes well - IF you take the time to try on a million of them in the store. I spent an hour or so trying on multiple 28s and 29s in various different colors. I walked out with a pair of dusty rose in 29, because the 28 (my regular size, at 5'9 and 145 lbs) wouldn't even go over my hips. However, the 28 in the teal color was the PERFECT fit. The 29s I bought in the dusty rose are a bit loose, and I'm contemplating going to another store and trying on all their 28s to see if I can find a pair that will look better than the 29s do. Moral of the story? Just keep trying them on! I can't give them more than three stars due to the amazing oversight in sizing, though. The size numbers are just arbitrary, really.

I bought EVERY color in a size 28. I'm 5'8, athletic thin (hips, thighs) not model skinny.
Out of the 5, 3 fit(ish) like almost everyone else, the ones that "fit" my thighs are just a teeny bit too snug in the waist (mildly uncomfortable) the rise is medium which is great if they didn't pinch. I returned the curry and the emerald because they were too small (couldn't button) but did not get a larger size cause the colors are hideous, not well represented on site. I kept mushroom, rose, and light grey cause they are decent for the money. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM with them is the ankle seeming. Firstly the outside seem is not finished as shown in the photo so the detail looks more like a mistake. It is cut on the bias to create a quirky design touch, i thought was interesting in the photo, In reality, after a couple of hours of wear they really twist half way around your leg and make a weird silhouette. I'll be wearing them with tall boots in the future. Lastly, it was great to get 3 pairs for what i normally pay for one but i would pay more for better fit

loose in the thighs and legs...but unforgiving in the waist. like most women, my waist size fluctuates slightly during the month---these pants offer not even an ounce of elastic forgiveness. i think they should make these in a lower rise with some type of elastic stiched in the top of the waist. i absolutely love the design and color though ( I have the grey ones).

Found these on sale the other day so I bought two pairs of course. While in the store I only tried on one pair, and just chose another color in the same size. Strangely enough when I got home I tried on the other pair and they were muccchhhh much tighter than the first. I'm hoping they will stretch as the other reviews said, but probably best to try these on in the store since the size discrepancy seems to happen even within the same size. I still love them though!
