"In theory, this should be the perfect dress. I love burn-out velvet, I loved the tank styling and tea-length hem. And the dress is indeed incredibly soft. But I still can't decide if it looks incredibly classy or incredibly cheap. My partner suggests it doesn't look tacky at all, despite being sheer, but I kind of feel like a tattooed woman in this because the background to the black velvet is the same tone as my skin, so it looks almost painted on me. I have many transparent dresses and tops and this shouldn't necessarily bother me, but the price does, as does the quality of the fabric, which seems so easy to snag. I keep on trying it on and changing my mind about whether I look ridiculous or too provocative in it. Is this a classic I'll wear again and again or another dress I'm baffled by my purchase of? I still don't know."

"I was so excited to get it! But when it arrived the fabric was thin, and the fit was unflattering! Definitely not worth this price! I sent it back!"
