This is something that a girl of Free People taste and whimsical style must own! I first spied this lovley in the picture from the November catalogue. MAGICAL. I am the same height and size of the model in the picture and I bought the XS. It fit like an overcoat, not overly large and not tight by any means at all. The velvet is soft and scrunchy rather than course and textured, The mirrors on the coat are gold embroided too. When I put it on, I feel like a character in Harry Potter. Defiantly the best winter coat and pair it with everything. Its very story-telling. Looks best over maxi skirts and dresses rather than pants as the coat sits longer than a normal coat would. Dont be discouraged by the price. GET IT GET IT GET IT.

When I saw this on the website I thought it was lovely, so I took a chance ... and it's even better in person. The fabric is soft velvet with fabulous embroidery and sewn sequin details. Really makes a statement! Love it.

Gorgeous black velvet coat! I'm a short petite at 5'2" so it hangs longer on me than the model, but it looks so fabulous on. I purchased this in an XSmall and it fits tts other than the length. This coat will make ANY outfit look special. The embroidery is metallic gold, the "mirrors" are actually silver sequins, and there are tiny clear gold beads inside of the tiny square areas of the embroidery. Cute embroidery on all of the buttons. The pockets are set a little high but they are functional. If you are looking at an XSmall, here are the dimensions of the one I received:
length from back of neck: 33"
bust all around: 36"
sleeve length: 24 1/2"
bottom opening: 42"
This coat truly embraces the FP spirit with the beautiful design and detailed handiwork. Love!
