Online color not accurate, love it anyway!

"Got this today in a size 2, last one left. First off the color, as stated, is not accurate. In my case the dress is divided half and half between the buttons. One half is the melon color and on the other side of the buttons the color is the olive green color. Both pockets are the green color as well. The belt isn't exactly top notch, just a braided leather. The buttons are beautiful and luminescent. I am 5'3 and the length of the slip ends a little past my tush, short (which is good for my height) but appropriate nonetheless. The length of the maxi hits me around the ankles so I can wear this with flats no problem. My other measurements are pretty useless for this item. I am a 34D 25" waist 33" hips. This size 2 slip fits me great, obviously the maxi is supposed to be baggy. So glad I got this on sale as I do not think it will worth the regular price. It's selling out now for sure! FYI.. the slip is 100% separate from the maxi (no strings or buttons attaching the 2 pieces together) so the slip is a bonus for other FP dresses that need layering! Personally I will use mine under my ivory Hills are Alive dress! If your size is here snatch this up!!"

Great style, but color not as pictured! :-(

"I love everything about the way this dress appears in the February catalog. I placed my preorder immediately. If the dress had arrived looking like the photo, I would have been in sheer melon heaven! Unfortunately, it’s actually a mixture of melon and dark olive....heavy on the olive!! The overall look is darker than even the studio photos. Dark dye was dribbled on the upper right bodice of the dress I received; an obvious defect. Other than the color issue (and the defect, which I assume was an isolated problem), the dress is gorgeous. That is why I gave it 3 stars even though it did not suit me at all. I deducted 2 stars due to misrepresentation. I spent $8 shipping the dress PLUS the Smart Label return fee for a defective product not as pictured!! The fabric of both the dress and slip are of good quality IMO. The double wrap skinny belt is also quite nice. In addition to the unique style, the price can be justified by using the slip and belt with other pieces in your wardrobe. Size wise, I suggest sizing down, even for a flowy look. I am 5’5”, 38-26-36, 36C. I usually need a M/10 in FP dresses to fit my chest. In super fitted styles I usually size up to L/12. I sized down to an 8 so that my waist and hips would not be as drowned in fabric. It fit loose and flowy, just as on the model. I am certain that it would have also looked fine in a 6 or 10! It is so free form that I feel it could suit almost any body type. The belt allows for versatility in styling. This dress is a good length (ankle on me) for those of us who are not 6’ tall. Way too many FP maxis are much too long! If you don’t mind that this is NOT a melon colored dress, it could be a hit for you. For me, it was a return. :-("

Aweful color

"I was so excited about this dress but when I received it I was really disappointed. This is the first time I felt this way with FP clothes,... and 95% of my clothes are from FP! First of all, the color. No it is not a beautiful coral. MIne was brown and green, not even Sienna. As a really fair-skinned person this color looked horrible on me. The fabric was also really poor. The seams were already unsewing as i took it out of the box, the material was not sikly but taught and wrinkly. The belt was not braided properly, most of it was fraying. Of course I could have gotten a bad one, this is possible, but for ~$300 this should not happen !"

"Love this! I could have sized down even more than I did, Roomy and the material has a give to it. Very sheer, gauzy type material, beautiful colors, more depth in colors in person. Nice cotton slip under-removable so you can switch out other slips. this one comes to mid thigh, Cute abalone type buttons that come all the way to the bottom of the dress. The belt is nice-braided leather I think, and very long, wrap around twice or tie in a bow. Overall love it so far! Pretty and sexy!"
