i had bought this same skirt about 2-3 years ago. back then the fabric was thick, soft and very stretchy. I'm 5'7'' and bought the small in black and the taupe color. when i saw that they were making them in other colors i bought the green. when i received it i was so disappointed! the quality was not the same, it wasnt thick at all, quite thin and not as stretchy as the original, i had to struggle to get it on which i dont have to do with the ones i bought before. the quality went down with the new colors they made them in, so for that i have to send it back. when i shop at free people i kinda expect quality with the price point but this one fell wayyy short of that, which sucks because i loved the first 2 i bought! free people please get the old fabric back! the new fabric is terrible in comparison!

i love this skirt so much i bought it in both colors! im 5'4 110 and got the XS as i wear most of my skirts kind of short. i'm a college student and it's perfect to wear out to dinner then out afterwards. i love the quality and material (it's a million times better compared to a similar skirt i own from american apparel that stretched out and lost its shape after only one wear). lalaloveeee this! absolute necessity to a wardrobe!

I'm 5'10, 140 lbs, tall and a bit curvy... I got a Medium and it fits perfectly but I think the Small might also have been a safe choice as I'm afraid the M might stretch and become too loose. For a tight fit, size down. But if you want the length, your regular size should be fine.
I measured my hips/booty ;) and at the widest point, it's 40 inches (just so you have an idea of the sizing).
Sizing probably doesn't matter too much in this skirt, if you're in between sizes, you can go either way, depending on the fit you want
I think I might purchase this in a S as well because it is such a versatile skirt, I love how it goes with everything, and it's simple without being plain (the scrunching is lovely)...
I tried it on with biker boots, and it had a rock'n'roll edge to it, whereas with a wedge or a chic heel, it looks classy. ALL THAT IN ONE SKIRT!

I purchase for my teenage daughter and myself, even though I am "mature" hey! I have fun and I have a young one to keep up with - This skirt is one of my favorites and now there's a new color Purple! - I also purchased elsewhere on this site the "flowered" version. I usually am a M but I tried this on in a store while on a trip and the L fit so I went with it, didn't feel like trying the M. Cotton, stretchy, hugs my derriere nicely, I wear it pulled a little lower so the hem hits a couple of inches above the knee, I am 5"2".
Sometimes I wear free flowing tops like model or something loose with sleeves and banded bottom drapey.

got this skirt in the peache puree & army green! Ive been wanting an army green skirt forever and this is a wonderful purchase. color is just as pictured, same with the peach. the only odd thing i noticed is the elastic band in the top of the skirt -in my peach colored one its stretchy, normal. however, in the army green one, its really tight and only stretches to a certain point, causing the seams to tear. it was hard to get on at first even though it was the same size as the other one, xs.. not too worried about it though. love this piece!

This skirt is really slimming, but still comfortable. Since it is ruched it has the tendency to ride up a little, but doesn't need constant adjustment. It's a little on the short side on me, but my inseam is 37" and I'm sure length shouldn't be a problem on most frames. It does run small though - I'm between sizes and glad I went with the larger. Great skirt!

This skirt has an amazing fit and I was so tempted to get it, but it felt a little too young for me. I am a size 6 and the medium was great, but a little shorter than what I am wearing these days. If I were a bit younger I would definitely buy one in each color because it would look great with everything!

I bought my first FP scrunch skirt a few years ago and have bought every color/pattern since. They are by far my favorite skirts i have ever owned. That said, i was VERY excited when FP brought back the taupe/black and introduced the grey. I bought all 3 colors in both a small and a medium. (I like the small for going out and the medium for during the day/more casual). When they arrived, i was extremely disappointed in the quality. They are not as thick/stretchy as they previously were. The waistband and the bottom hem are very stiff with basically no stretch at all. i want to love these skirts as much as my other ones, but the quality is SERIOUSLY lacking.
