I have also been looking for a deep cherry red leather jacket for this fall. This is the only one I have seen so far and I hoped I would receive one as red as the studio pics, not the catalog pic, even though a previous reviewer said it was the darker color. Got it today and it IS the darker color, verging on a slight purple while still being dark red. Not exactly the color I have been looking for, but a very nice color. Definitely NOT an oxblood, which I did not want. However, just as another reviewer said, it arrived balled up in a plastic bag! Frankly I expect more from FP on this issue. Yes, it is a washed leather and the zippers are wavy and askew (as if it had been washed and dried in a dryer) but OK it's the style for this jacket. That's no reason to send it balled up in a plastic bag. Something this expensive should be hung on a hanger with a plastic bag over it, folded and placed in the box. That would not take much effort. Its OK for a T-shirt to come in a plastic bag, but not an expensive leather jacket.
As for fit, it was on the small side. But this is a problem with the stated size on the website: The smallest size available was a 6 and I wear a Small /4. I live in the US and I assumed a US 6. It's not! The tag on the jacket said UK 6/ US 2! Well, I barely got it zipped up. On the positive side, the jacket is well fitted and the leather does stretch, so it still looked really good around the waist and lower chest when zipped. But the bust was tight and unfortunately the zipper "waved" inward just as it went over the bust - not a good look. So size up knowing that the "6" is really a US 2!

I decided to finally pick up a great leather jacket for the fall/winter and I'm glad that this is the one I picked. Marked as a little bit tight since Muubaa tends to run on the smaller side, so while I'm normally a 4 in FP jackets I sized up to the UK8/6 in this jacket and it fits perfectly. The color however, is much closer to the catalog photos and is more of a deep berry red. It's not at all the bright red like in the studio shots. The leather is soft and the jacket is thick, but not too thick that it would feel overwhelming. It's a bit more on the cropped side which is a little easier to see in the photos, but a fairly even fit along the waist. Lovely, chic leather jacket that will be a really nice color in the colder months.

I was really excited to finally see a size 14 in a leather jacket not to mention the color being so great so I ordered it right away. Just got it today and it's one of the worst items I've received from Free People, I couldn't put the sleeves on without unzipping them, it was in a tiny package so you can only imagine the condition, the leather and color looks cheap, the lining looks cheap as well, I love Free People clothes so much that it makes up probably 80% of my clothing purchases for the last year, this was just a miss..............a big one!

Quality of this jacket is pretty good, however the fit is very strange. I tried three different sizes and none of them fit right. The jacket seemed to be too big and too small all at the same time. The color was also not as rich in person. It seemed cheaper than as depicted in the photo. I ended up getting a different leather jacket from FP that I LOVE. Definitely go with a different style if you're looking for an FP leather jacket. I think some of the other styles are a better quality/fit and much cheaper, too!

I've been searching for the perfect red leather jacket for a while now. I was very excited to see this new Muubaa jacket. It is not red at all. Looks like the catalog picture but even darker (definitely a maroon). I liked the maroon color so I got over it not being red, trying to make it work. I tried it on and it fit fine, a little tight but the leather will stretch. I was able to zip it up just fine, looked amazing ZIPPED. However, it's cropped and it flared outward from my bust-line down to my waist creating an A-line... Not flattering whatsoever. It made me look boxy and 10lbs heavier than I am. I am 5'8" 26 waist, and 34DD. I wonder if getting a larger size will make it long enough to not be boxy? It's such a nice and well made jacket I may try.
