This is an interesting shirt, although when I first pulled it from the package I thought it looked like I'd bought Santa Claus's drab summer nightgown. It's when you put it on that its oversize charm becomes charming. It took me a minute of fussing and reassuring myself, then I fell in love. The softness of the fabric and the liquid way in which it settles adds to the shirt's magic - that plus the elegance of the dolman sleeves. It's more feminine and goddess-like than the Big Dipper Tee, which I also own, but unlike the Big Dipper, there are no side slits to tie into knots to shape the shirt. Using a belt or partially tucking the front as in the product shot is the way to go with this, if you don't want the nightgown look and want to show off those sleeves. It will hang like a sack if you don't do something with it. I do worry that the arm holes will stretch and make it impossible for me to push the sleeves up and add more shape. Time will tell. So far so good on a several-hour outing.
Note that when Free People itself says something's "majorly" oversized, they mean it. Watch out petite ladies. I'm 5'8" and busty, and this falls to just above my knees. It might swallow someone who normally wears an XS or even an S. I've never worn an S in my life, but I could size down and never known the difference. I'd describe the shape, when laid out flat, as an A-line maxi skirt turned upside down with its wide end sewn shut except for a neck hole and two small sleeve holes at the outer corners. I bought a M/L, and the measurements for mine are 56" across the top seam, 30" across the bottom hem, and 36" long. The length on the studio model's natural shirt is accurate. The fabric is different than currently listed. I bought the ivory/natural, and the tag says: 62% Rayon, 16% Polyester, 12% Cotton, 10% Flax. The color is on the more oatmeal end of ivory (thus natural), not whitish as some of the product shots seemed to me on my screen, but it's a great neutral color and still light. It's not quite sheer, but a lot of light shines through it. A black version would be nice.

I just received this shirt in the mail today, and I am super excited about it. My love for free people is the comfy oversized clothes that make me feel happy, and this is definitely a piece I would buy in every color if there were more choices. I bought the XS/S since the M/L was sold out, and it is super giant and awesome. Love the flow, and the slight sheerness too. For reference I am 5'6 and 150 lbs, and i would not know what the next size up would look like, maybe just longer i hope. Lol. Anyways, this is one of those staples if you like the oversized comfy look like myself, and I hope it comes back in stock soon because I will buy 5 more. Please make more colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!

Really love this shirt, it was much larger than I expected but still love it! Nice, light and airy. Love how it hangs off my shoulders. Wish it came in more colors!!!

I really love this shirt, I got the xs/s and normally wear a small and it runs big. The only issue I have is it looks like a nightgown unless you wear it with a thin waist belt of some sort. The FP Z&L Leather Indi Belt is the only belt I have, and it is too big and chunky to work with this dress. If you have a thin belt or plan to purchase one, this dress is for you. Also you can't really tell in the picture but the sides of the shirt are sort of ruffled, giving it a bit of character. It is also really soft.

Nothing bad to say about this tunic, it fits exactly as it should, sexy. When worn with gladiator sandals, can't help but love the Romain air. Great purchase!

Not much more to say. It's an odd top but if you are a model perhaps you can make it work but the fabric is sooo itchy and the price well not worth it for me.
